Myron Rolle?
Is he gonna enter the 2010 draft or is it just suspicion?

He has no future in the NFL, I don't understand why people are so obsessed over a busted 5* recruit.

I was just curious. I liked him more as a person than a player and was curious which career path he might take.

Chris Crocker? We have two really good run defending safeties but neither is really anything to write home about in pass coverage.

Well Roy Williams with his final couple of years in Dallas was absolutely brutal. Some of the worst pass coverage I've seen from the safety position.
I've never seen Crocker play much to be honest though.

I think a lot of that for Roy was a lack of passion to be in Dallas. I remember hearing he didn't like Wade and the scheme there. Who knows. He honestly hasn't been terrible here.

He'll be in the draft and he'll have an impact somewhere in the NFL. I know he didn't live up to his potential in college, but to be honest, he was more of a STUDENT in college, he's going to help the world, and not just on the football field. If he dedicates himself to the NFL like he did to his studies, then he's going to be one heck of a steal for whoever gets him because he's an extremely gifted athlete who is brighter than most QBs in the league, you're not going to find that very often.
Sounds a lot like a New England Patriot type player to me, not the flashiest player in college, but a very sound player who really could blossom as a pro.

I actually just spoke with Myron's family the other day.
Rolle has been attending classes at Oxford on his Rhodes Scholarship and also coming back to train with Tom Shaw in Orlando. He is reportedly running in the 4.4 consistently on grass. He will be back in the US full-time in December to start focusing on the draft. He also hopes to participate in the Senior Bowl.

If he runs 4.4 that's going to change the thought process on him DRAMATICALLY. We'll see on that one. I think he was undersold a bit throughout his college career. Not much, but a bit. He's defiantly a draftable prospect, even if it isn't until the 5th or 6th round.

I'd love for the Giants to grab him personally. We need a strong safety and we had Butler who was a very smart guy but had coverage issues and made it work. Probably didn't have Myrons speed either.

He ran a 4.6 coming out of HS, would luv to see if Rolle can run an official sub 4.5 for scouts.
A bonus for him will be that because he's a true braniac, scouts may think his big brain can translate to outstanding, nearly instinctive play on the field with the right coaching.
Another guy I feel would be a pro bowler at LB.

Seriously? Wow, someone as smart as he is, why even play football, unless he really loves it. He clearly would be drafted, even if he is horrible in coverage, a team will try to make him into an outside linebacker and with his intelligence he will make it work. Could be a 3rd or 4th round pick easily if he works out well. Hard to do that though when you are hitting the books and building Hospitals...
Surprising he is even interested in football, but he has little chance of being an NFL safety in my book. Will be an OLB.
