WR Class of '96 v. WR Class of '01
1996:
Keyshawn Johnson
Terry Glenn
Eddie Kennison
Marvin Harrison
Eric Moulds
Amani Toomer
Mushin Muhhamed
Bobby Engram
Terrel Owens
Joe Horn
2001:(funny thing is Moss was 4th taken first three SUCKED)
Santana Moss
Reggie Wayne
Chad Johnson
Chris Chambers
Steve Smith
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Might be obvious, but damn those two classes

01 has more higher quality gamebreakers but overall it's 96. They have a lot more pro-bowl guys that always play at a high level.

The '96 class is much more consistent. They'll consistently get 100 yards on you each game, while the '01 class would break 180 yards one week, then the next go for only 30.

There really isn't a guy on the whole list that does that. It's just the nature of the position.

01 has some pretty big names, but 96 is collectively solid

How pray tell does '01 have better quality? Right now I don't think any of the '01 Receivers are slated to be Hall of Fame-rs. Where as Harrison is, Owens on numbers alone is. The '01 class also has several busts that are unmentioned. Four of the six first round WRs turned out to be busts in '01. The worst '96 produced was Eddie Kennison, who has still be a solid starter most of the time.

I'd have to go with '96 but the biggest steal was Houshmanzadeh in the 7th round of that draft in 01

'96 class both in terms of quality and quantity.
Acctually the '01 class turned out several busts as well as later round steals.
Check out the first 10 WRs taken in 2001 class (1-6 in the 1st round):
1. David Terrell - bust
2. Koren Robinson - bust
3. Rod Gardner - bust
4. Santana Moss - pretty good
5. Freddie Mitchell - bust
6. Reggie Wayne - very good
7. Quincy Morgan - bust
8. Chad Johnson - great
9. Robert Ferguson - decent
10. Chris Chambers - pretty good
All of these guys were taken in the first 2 rounds, and 5 of them are busts.

This 07 WR class should be pretty good. Unlikely it will touch the 96 class though.
