Week 9: Ravens

I've been visiting the Baltimore section for this week's game, but I figured we should have a place to discuss the game without gloating (if we win) or airing out our dirty laundry (if we lose) in their forum.

I'm so excited, the bye week was to long for me, I ended up watching the Colts beat the 49ers and the Vikings beat the Packers.

Everyone is talking about this two game stretch, but if we do sweep the Ravens this week, a loss to the Steelers might not be the end of the world. After that we get a pretty easy stretch against 3 teams (Raiders, Browns, Lions) that we could walk away from 3-0.

Assuming that is the way it plays out, we'd be 9-3 heading into the final 4 game stretch where we would probably only need to win 1-2 games for a wild card (or even the division title depending on how the Steelers do).

yeah these next 2 games are HUGE.
Tomorrow has me nervous. Us off of a bye week and the Ravens coming off that huge win last week vs Denver.
Big big week.

A win in this one would be ENORMOUS, essentially gets the Ravens off our backs in terms of making a playoff spot and gives momentum heading into Pitt.

Ngata is out which only helps.

Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball then throw a deep ball. The Oline has to protect. If they protect, this game is ours.

I had so much confidence going into this game until a few days ago when I saw we were -3 underdog in the spread. Just goes to show that you should trust your own instincts rather than someone else's.

I hope Chad gets a TD catch for my FF team :P

Hey, early props to the freakin Cincinnati Bengals. I was never a believer in your team but WOW, they impressed me today. There line dominated the line of scrimmage both ways and Carson was very accurate. Defensive tackling was great and Joesph and Hall are two great young corners.

The Bengals just outplayed the Ravens today.

Hall and Joseph were absolutely amazing today. They are why our defense has turned the corner.

I was just really impressed by the team as a whole. The offensive line was insanely good.

Just a really good game, time to get ready for PITTSBURGH!!!! WOOHOOO

Leon and JJ played outstanding today. I've been chirpin' a lot about how good they really are and today they proved that. We're fortunate to have two young talented corners like that, especially since the pass rush(until this yr) has been pretty inconsistent to say the least.

This game was the biggest statement game I can remember. We just came out and handled our business like professionals and got done what we needed to get done which is very encouraging. I dont think we'll beat the Stillers again so this game was all that more important to make a playoff push. We might even take the division with a loss to Pittsburgh.
