Default 1st day picks

I could totally see Al taking a CB/S on Day One this year....especially with the struggles of Chris Johnson....

Rolando McClain will be a fantastic LB in this league. The only thing that worries me is he plays on a defense that is usually superior to the offense it is playing against. Is he a product of a great defense, or does he make a good Bama D a great one by being there?

I've watched a lot of Bama, this year especially, and I could tell you without hesitation that he is the real deal that he is made out to be. I have him down as one of the 5 or 6 best eligible players for the upcoming draft class. The best instinctual LB I've seen since Patrick Willis.

Anybody notice that Trevor Scott played a lil bit of OLB last game? He looked pretty good back there. 2 sacks and almost picked a ball. If we move to a 3-4 he could be a nice OLB.

I like McClain alot too. If the pieces fall right, I wouldnt mind picking him(Suh, McCoy, Clausen, Okung, Locker)

Im stuck on where we go 1st round, do we go after a OT, QB, DT, LB. I know it isn't Al's way but if there was ever a draft to trade back and collect more picks I think it's this one.

Any way to get his talent on the field more is a positive. It also allows Shaughnessy to play more snaps, which makes the most sense since he is the more complete every-down end. This is what I like to see and hope for from our coaching staff - better utilization of our players, particularly our youth.

I'm ready to roll with Gradkowski into next year if the right QB isn't available through trade or the draft. There is no part of me that wants to deal with Russell, and would rather continue to see Bruce build a rapport with our receivers/backs, and the overall precision and timing of the offense.

We need to go OT in round one under almost any circumstance, imo, however if the front office doesn't feel the same way then McCain would be an outstanding BPA we could go to.
