Barber has a ***** of a contract but, it would be nice to move him. There is always the possibility that we could move Choice but, I'd rather not if someone showed interest in MBIII.

Crazy Al, trade DHB to us. We'll give you a 4th rounder, and after Brady tosses 12 TD's to him in the first season, everybody will see how Davis is a bad drafter.

this is how i cling to hope - no matter how bad things get with McXanders, we are still better off than the Raiders under Al Davis.

Wasn't sure if this was posted or not here yet but via Roto:
Quote:
Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski believes the team "might make a play" for Chiefs DL Glenn Dorsey this offseason.
Dorsey was drafted by K.C. when current Lions DC Gunther Cunningham ran the Chiefs' defense. Dorsey would also be a better fit in Detroit's 4-3 scheme as a three technique tackle. He hasn't been productive in the Chiefs' 3-4.

I think this would be a great move, then again I felt ATL should of pushed hard to make this happen last year instead of taking Jerry. Dorsey isn't a bust and will be ok in a 3-4, but I don't think he'll ever be the player he could be in a 4-3. He just doesn't fit that scheme, and I know Chiefs fans will say he's made plays and looked well and that's fine and dandy, but I don't think he's a difference maker or special player which he could be in a 4-3. I don't see him turning into Richard Seymour or Shaun Rogers in that front honestly, and Detroit certainly needs the help.
The question is how much, if they could get him let's say for arguments sake, an early 2nd, and they can pass up on Gerald McCoy, do they take Okung? Berry and Delmas in the same secondary? Would be pretty interesting.

Anything written by Tom Kowalski belongs in the bathroom. And I'm not talking for reading material.

The Berry-Dorsey combo intrigues me a lot. I wouldn't mind that at all. If we could get a decent corner in free agency watch out!!! watch out I tell ya!

If you get Dorsey for your second rounder I would still draft McCoy with your first.

Sammie Lee Hill stood out as a rookie and is the big DT we need. Dorsey is a UT same as McCoy.

Killer Kowalski is the guy who said that the Lions should let time run out on the clock and wait until pick #5 or #6 and grab Eugene Monroe and then draft Fili Moala at #20.

Pretty much this. It's getting annoying but what can you do? People will spout off this nonsense over and over. Dorsey will be "rumored" for trade talks a lot and we just have to deal with it.

Did anyone call him untouchable or something??? I know he made strides this year and has played pretty well. Its not like he would get traded for nothing.

I wasn't directing that at you.
People keep saying he's a bad fit in the 3-4, or that he could be a REAL difference maker if he was in the 4-3. Those people are the ones who don't watch Chiefs games and just look at stats.
I'm not saying untouchable, I think he could get dealt, but so far he's been VERY good at the 3-4 DE spot. Every day there is more trade talk about Dorsey and it has been going on since last year. It just gets a bit old is all.

When your DC was at KC for Dorsey's rookie year he played him at Nt.

Yeah, I'm prone to agree. Or maybe throw in Lance Moore and take away the 5th.

How do you know Dorsey wouldn't be twice the player he is in a 4-3? The rumors are there probably because teams may have interest, that doesn't mean you'll definately trade him or listen, but you can't stop teams from listening. His strengths are better suited for a 4-3, he's good enough to make a presence in any defense, but it's like your just ignoring the fact that he could be a much better player in the 4-3.
Nobody is trying to say he sucks, but essentially putting him as a 3-4 DE your not letting his use some of his best traits to his advantage.
