I hope it's us, I would make that deal. #28 for a third and a player for the Jags first next year

Obviously this is not nearly enough trade compensation for a stud in waiting like Gholston. Once he is used right he will be amazing!!!!!

I was thinking it was more of a steal, can I throw in the #1?
I'll then trade Steven Jackson and Ron Bartell for Antonio Cromartie?

Trading 22nd overall pick in 2010 for either a 2011 first and a 2010 third or a 2010 second and third or an impact player or 2011 1st and 2nd.

Calvin Watkins said there is a hot rumor going around that Dallas is trying to shop Barber. Hard to believe there would be a big market for him. I doubt they get anything higher than a 4th or 5th....Dallas may even cut him.

He would make a nice one two punch with Jamaal Charles but that would be alot of money for a back up.

The Jets should do one of two trades with Denver. Well, ok. They're not so much trades as they are signing away Denver's RFAs.
1. Acquire Kyle Orton for a second rounder and sign him to a mid-sized 5 year contract
This is assuming that Denver doesn't put a first round tender on Orton. I think Orton with that O line, that run game, and that defense wins 12 games. I also think two years or so sitting behind and learning from Orton would do wonders for Sanchez. When Sanchez is ready to take over, you've still got a great feeling of safety having Orton as one of the best backups in the league.
or
2. Acquire Brandon Marshall for a 1st, a 3rd, and a poison pill contract
This is assuming that Denver puts the highest possible tender on Marshall and that Marshall refuses to sign an extension to play under McDaniels, which seems awfully likely. He could serve as a crutch for Sanchez. Marshall + Cotchery + Edwards should make Sanchez look pretty good, even if it's not as good for his development as suggestion #1.

Nothing. Neither player has any trade value whatsoever.
And lolz at anybody who thinks Cromartie is worth a second round pick.

Steven Jackson to the Chargers
Draft picks (at least a 1st and a 3rd) to the Rams
Why: Jackson's a stud in his prime, but by the time the Rams are ready to compete for anything again he's going to be on the downside of his career. The Chargers are in win now mode and could desperately use a RB with physicality and explosion. Suddenly, San Diego's offense would not be so nearly one dimensional, while the Rams get a boost in their rebuilding efforts.

Yeah because the Rams can really afford to let their top offensive threat and only legit star player leave for a late 1st and 3rd round pick...

Would be a lot of fun but Chargers have a bunch of needs on the other side of the ball and can't afford to lose the picks.

That's better. :D
Would for sure trade Cro+ a 1st and 4th for SJax because we're going to end up spending one of the top 3 picks on a RB anyway, and Cro needs to GTFO, but I'd be leery of giving up the 2nd or 3rd.

No but there've been talks with his agent. He'll be a RFA this year and will make 7+ million if he doesn't sign a long term deal, then hit the open market in an uncapped NFL, so his side doesn't have too much incentive to do so. Considering he's not a feature back it will be difficult to give him what he'll be looking for but it's extremely likely he will be a Charger for another year.
