The Brooking "classless" comments are all over the place. Im already sick of hearing about it. I dont remember him saying anything about Dallas running it up on Philly last week.

Pat Williams is awesome...

Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams dismissed Brookings comments.
"We don’t care what Keith Brooking says,” Williams said. “He was about to get his ass whupped on our sideline over there. It don’t matter. Nobody said anything when they blew out the Eagles [the past two weeks]. It’s the playoffs. It ain’t no regular-season game. If you lose, you go home. We take no pity on them. Do they expect us to? I don’t care about no Brooking. He can say whatever he wants to say.”
also: check out his fan site or whatever this is, the "what's being said about Gerald Sensabaugh" featured prominently on his site is pretty much people calling him an idiot and commenting about how Rice owned him yesterday... it's hysterical.
Well that was a clusterfuck. Ultimately you just can't win with that many turnovers and penalties. Jets are built solidly but it's tough to not lay this one on the Chargers for coming up with mental mistake after mental mistake, kneecapping the offense while the D simply didn't have the run stuffing ability to last the whole game. Throw in Nate Kaeding choking in the playoffs yet again and there you have it. Chargers weren't a Super Bowl team with no running game or run stopping, so I'm honestly not as upset as I probably should be. Feel like those pieces aren't too far away though, so fingers crossed for a less than disastrous offseason.
Brooking needs to take down another eight ball and shut the **** up

On a day when workhorse Thomas Jones gained just 41 yards, Greene left little doubt that the Jets have a new No. 1 running back in town. So when he scored early in the fourth quarter to give the Jets a 17-7 lead, he channeled his inner LaDainian Tomlinson by imitating the Charger running back’s trademarked end zone celebration.
“Just having fun,” Greene said with a laugh. “He didn’t get to do it, so I did it for him.”
One locker over, Mark Sanchez had a question he was dying to ask his teammate of the Tomlinson impersonation:
“Did you flip it?” Sanchez asked.
Greene nodded.
“No you didn’t!” Sanchez said. “That was awesome. Did you see his rap on the Megatron?”
Greene nodded again.
“Yeah, I wanted to do that,” he said of Tomlinson’s music video that turned into a YouTube sensation last week. “But it came out too fast. I couldn’t learn it.”

Really.
When's the last time you heard someone say- "this team overcame bad luck and STILL won! It was ALL skill!"
Look at how the ball is shaped- luck will always be a huge factor in winning and losing in this sport.

Actually that was the sad part. We actually held our own in the run stopping department with our mish mash Dline until that late push when Green ran through the entire line and Weddle. Here's hoping for more beef on both sides this draft, especially a NT.
When asked if the Cowboys called any plays for him, he told ESPNDallas.com, "No. Hell no."

"I didn't get a ball today, and I didn't get a look at today. It just happens," Williams said. "It's frustrating. It pisses me off, especially when we lose and especially when I feel like I have a mismatch. I got a 5-10 corner [covering me, Antoine Winfield], but hey, you know, I will continue to work hard in the offseason and it will come back around."
When I saw the article yesterday, (iirc) they left in the fact that RW called him Dontonio Wingfield...
I'm 100% sure it said Dontonio Wingfield. That's so funny they changed it. It really made Williams look stupid like the writer was just poking fun by putting the name he said in parentheses even though it was clear he misspoke.
I read an article talking about how Kaeding has failed to show up in the clutch while in the NFL, and it mentions how at least he stayed in the locker room to answer every reporter's question, and how he doesn't feel sorry for himself, but apologized for everyone he let down.
At least he didn't just book it without talking to anyone like Shayne Graham did after the Bungles loss.

I've said it before (not recently), and I'll say it again. You guys need a new head coach. I mean, watching that game, watching the stupid mistakes the Chargers made, can you tell me you didn't have flashbacks to the '06 playoffs?
When Phillips headbutted Ferguson, did you have a flashback of Drayton Florence headbutting Daniel Graham?
When Nate Keading missed the first field goal kick, my first thought was "hmmm, Nate Keading missing field goal kicks against the Jets in the playoffs. Why does this seem so familiar?"
To me, its not that the Chargers lost in the playoffs. Ten other teams either will or already have the same thing this season. It's because they lost in the playoffs for the exact same reasons they lost earlier in the playoffs earlier this decade.
I'm glad the Jets are moving on, but it's sad to see the Chargers self destruct like that in January AGAIN.

Everyone in the stands was talking about 2006 from halftime on basically.
That was a different head coach then too. At some point you have to lay it on the players. They obviously feel entitled, you can see it in a lot of the postgame quotes. Someone needs to tell them nothing gets handed to you, looking past playoff teams? Not acceptable. But mostly I'm bitter about Kaeding, and also Cromartie who is truly pathetic. Watch Cromartie on the replay of the long Green run, he has the perfect angle, feet away, and actively takes himself out of the play so he doesn't have to make a tackle. If we can trade Cro for anything, I'd drive him to the airport.
