Well the funny thing about owning ducks, is that after a while, you start to feel bad for them that they have to live in an apartment. So we put them in a creek on the campus. They're kind of dumb and don't know how to find their own food, but we still make sure we feed them every day. And while it's technically illegal to release domesticated animals into the wild, the nerds that hang out by the creek get a pretty big kick out of them so it all works out.

And BTW, the answer to my original question is no, I should not have gotten ducks. It was a nice experience for a a month or so; then it just becomes depressing how little they want to live in an apartment.

Not even close, I have never found a better thread. I will gladly add to the HOF nomination. I just saw it today and went throught the whole thing.
