How bad is Dayton Moore when Sabean gets over on you. Melky for Sanchez is the lulz that keep on giving.

Excellent point. Also, that vaunted farm system from 2 years ago has produced very little at the moment.

I think Hosmer will be fine eventually. Moustakas is doing solid this year and WIl Myers should be good. It's their pitching prospects that sort of nosedived. They had a bunch of arms have breakout seasons like 2 years ago, only to have them all regress big time this past year or get hurt(John Lamb)

Very little pitching. The lineup is almost completely homegrown. Hosmer is having a bad year, but everyone else has been very solid. Replace Frenchy with Myers, and they're Giavotella from having all 9 starters from being homegrown (Escobar is included even if he isn't technically homegrown).

It's going to be Myers, Hosmer, and Moose but still not what everyone was predicting. Just because a lineup is homegrown doesn't mean it's good. The Mets have had 5 or 6 days this year where everyone came from the farm but it means diddly. Yes I used the word diddly.

Yeah... Those 3 anchoring the middle of a lineup with Cain, Perez (might be the best catcher in baseball already), Gordon producing, Escobar being a much better hitter than people thought, and Billy Butler who is having a breakout year on and off the field.

Yeah Perez is not even close to being the best catcher in baseball.

Posey, Wieters, Mauer, Molina, McCann, Montero, even a down year Santana are all better at this point.

I can't stand when players swing at the first pitch regardless of the outcome. It always has bothered me.

Why? Sometimes it's the best pitch you'll get.
