Not only 16 runs, but 15 individual scoring plays. Almost all one run at a time. Not significant, but interesting at least.

Who do you have in then?
I think:
1 - Yankees
2 - Rangers
3 - Tigers
4 - Angels
5 - Athletics

The Reds are reportedly interested in Span, who would be a big upgrade for the Reds in the leadoff spot. Span's line on the season is: .285/.348/.392 and .372/.426/.465 since the ASB.
Ken Rosenthal said that "the Reds presumably could build a package for Span around left-hander Tony Cingrani", but goes on to say, "The reality, however, is that it would take far more than Cingrani to land Span. A potential free agent such as Victorino or Pierre still looks more logical for the Reds."
Thoughts from Reds fans?

Reds fans are busy trying to figure out why Stubbs keeps producing runs for them these last two days. Please decide that he's good enough and leave the lead off types for the Pirates.
I want one of those 3 on the Pirates. Id love Span, but that would be a little expensive when I think the Pirates need another trade on top of that one still.
Get me Pierre. If not, go get Victorino. Both fill a huge need and should come fairly cheap.

I rather have Span over Pierre but either are better then Stubbs.
Victorino deal has already been rumored to be turned down by the Reds.

Pirates reportedly turned down a deal for Victorino as well. I still think he ends up either a Pirate or Red by the deadline.

Question:
How will the playoffs work?
Let's say Angels vs. Athletics in the play-in game.
Weaver wins.
Will he be able to start Game 2 and Game 5 against the Yankees in the Wild Card round?

Hallelujah the Reds have finally done something wrong in a game. Please don't blow this one Houston.
Apparently the Reds should have taken the deal...

I find it ridiculous that they won't trade a 27 year old middle reliever for a leadoff hitter.

Possibly. The play-in game is on the 5th and then game 2 would probably be on the 8th or 9th.

Pirates apparently turned down a similar deal, not wanting to give up Brad Lincoln and offering Jared Hughes instead. Rumors might not be exactly true, but you never know how these types of things are actually going on till they get done.
What I find ridiculous is Cordero's era. 16.2?! And gives up a lead off double here. So terrible.

We seriously need to stop overpaying for relievers.

I think you should have to go at least a week without saying anything negative about Stubbs for this.

Amazing, Tyler Greene is worthless. Never even plays anymore. Freese gets a base hit in the 11th to lead it off, Greene pinch runs and gets picked off 1st lol, go choke on a donkey dick Tyler.

Francisco Cordero HAS to be the worst pitcher in the majors. I'd DFA him after this game. That's two wins he's blown. Granted they aren't going to be winning much, but they should get all the wins they can.

Season high 7 game winning streak for the Reds and doing it without Votto.

Lohse has 10 consecutive Quality starts and 16 on the season. He's pitching himself out of the Cardinals price range. 10-2, 2.71 ERA.
Cards have the 2nd best team ERA since the break at 2.18 but only have a 6-6 record to show for it. Shame.

A part of me feels like the reason why Marte was called up this weekend was to showcase him for a trade. For weeks NH said that he wasn't ready and needed stuff to work on. Why bring him up the weekend before the trade deadline if he isn't ready? I know they play the Astros and all that, but something seems fishy to me.
