When you build a team around pitching and defense and lose your two best starting pitchers it's gonna hurt. If we could stay healthy we might have a chance in the West, but it looks like another year where the A's will have to use the DL a billion times.

I won't even watch anymore when we play the Yankees. It's just comical. We have had about 9 absolutely solid line drives that have been caught that took away a run in this series. I don't understand how one team can be so unlucky against the other on a consistent basis.

Bruce is so slick with the glove out in RF.
& the team as a whole has the best NL fielding pct and hasnt had an error in 11 games I think. (knock on wood)

I love these half-assed efforts Doumit does behind the plate. Good job, jackass.

Doumit is so awful behind the plate. Flipping between the Cubs and Blackhawks, every time I switched to the Cubs I saw a ball flying past/bouncing away from him.
Wooo 1st win vs. the Pirates this year!
:(

He should be playing first, but his defense is so bad, he'd fail there. I hope we can ship him off to the Rays or what not so he can DH. God he pisses me off a lot.

Haha no. We have like 3 players better between Blalock, Dan Johnson, and Shealy.

Yay the Twins finally didn't choke against the Yankees. Jason Kubel doing something productive is also a pleasant surprise.

I wouldn't even consider it, unless you are stacked at 1B and really weak in the OF and desperate for steals. Morneau has been the 2nd best 1B this year in most scoring systems. In terms of fantasy, Stewart has been an average 2B and a below average 3B. McCutchen has been fantastic this year so far, but he's been playing over his head. Neither the home run numbers nor the average are sustainable.

Went to Comerica for the Tigers-Red Sox game this afternoon. There was a wierdo in a full body "Tigger" suit who was constantly yelling out roars. He looked special.
