I think Liriano knows how to pitch. Plus, with Marte and McCutchen in the OF, they are running down balls and saving hits. Can't say they are necessarily dominant in the IF, but it is a consideration...
Ned Yost needs to ******* go. Trots the same lineup out that he had last night sans Kotteras.
I don't know how you expect Gordon and Butler to produce batting behind the 4 lowest OBPs on your team. It just...makes no ******* sense.
The rest doesn't really matter, but if I had to say, it'd be:
Basically, they have 5-6 guys that are getting on base consistently, but are hitting in the wrong order and not together.
They really need to move Alex Gordon to right field. It's easier to find guys that can hit who play left field (hint: Xavier Nady is down in Omaha).
Obviously, I don't follow Royals but after quick look at lineup and statistic, Mousatakas is the culprit. If Royals scuffled around with Cain and Hosmer being part of the top order, there is no legit hitter after Bulter in the lineup.
The heart of the order is important even though Yost should be more creative on lineup to improve run produce.
I wouldn't be sir prized if he passed McCoy on the depth chart. I think he might have a better arm and accurate arm then him from the highlights I thought. He also got some wheels too help us prepare for QB's as Wilson , RG3 and other runners etc.
