Would that not be their B-team then?
Anytime you take out some of your best players it ceases to be the "A-team" and becomes the B team.

But Rolen and Gomes aren't your 2 best hitters while Pujols and Holliday are for the Cards. If you took out Votto and Phillips then I could see what you're saying.

I'm not defending Manuel. His idiocy speaks for itself just as Baker's does. Last night he took out Dickey who was doing a good job to use a PH to bunt. Ummmmm what?

Also, if your pen gives up 7 runs before getting 3 outs, its probably not your manager's fault.

Also, their's a difference between playing "B teamers" and playing your "B team."
If you were playing your B team, over half the starters would be backups. Seeing as you only had 2.5 backups in (yes, Ramon Hernandez is your starter. Idc if Hannigan is better, Hernandez is listed as your starter, therefore, he is not a B teamer. But I gave you .5 anyway) that leaves you with 5.5 starters plus the pitcher, including your 2 best hitters and Jay Bruce. That's not fielding your "B team"...that's giving 2 guys the day off and everyone else starting.

I got tired. But that is some of it.

Over the past 2 weeks, yes they are.
And you obviously dont pay attention because Phillips is in no way our best hitter.
Bruce has been better lately.
Gomes is hitting over .300 and an RBI machine lately
Rolen has been on fire.
Votto has been slumping.
Phillips continues to hack.

You know what I meant. Phillips is a better hitter than Gomes even though he's in a hot streak now. I really should have said Bruce though.

Joey Votto the last 2 weeks:
17/52 14 Runs 4 HR 12 RBI .327 avg
Over the last month:
33/101 20 Runs 8 HR 24 RBI .327 avg
You're right, he's really been slumping....
Gomes has been hot the last 2 weeks, yes, but Votto put up almost idential numbers the last 2 weeks that Gomes has put up in the last month. Votto is your best hitter, by a long shot. Phillips is debatable, but he's still top 3 overall, maybe not right now.

Joey Votto and Jonny Gomes swing at more outside pitches than Phillips does.

He just picked up against the Brewers. He had 1 hit in the series against STL.
Yeah the past 4 games have been nice but before that he couldnt buy a hit for a week.
For Votto that was a slump. Rolen was hitting the ball well. Bruce was. Gomes was. Phillips is around .250 and will probably stay there.
He tries to lift everything anymore and his hits seem more by accident. He is a moody player who gets disinterested in the game at times.
Right now, he is our 4th best hitter.
Votto
Rolen
Gomes
Bruce
Phillips
Hanigan

Regardless, 3 of your top 5 hitters started. That doesn't constitute as having your B team in.
Either way, I think we can all agree that the Reds **** the bed hilariously and that Dusty is an idiot.

Cairo is such a downgrade it is lucky I didnt call it the C team.
He botched a play that could have won the game. Rolen makes that play and we win.

How does a saber nut like you possibly like Upton so much. Has he crossed over the .300 OBP mark yet?
