Two straight great starts from our pitchers only to get blown by our bullpen. Awesome.

I'm going to sit here and tell you that it would be stupid to throw out a guy who had 33 pitches yesterday.

Would you rather Meek pitch and then get hurt? Take the loss and continue to build a nice young corps.

If not Meek, then at least Hanrahan. He didn't throw that many pitches yesterday.

Actually Meek threw 32 yesterday (not 33, my bad), and Joel threw 33. Carrasco was the best possible option.

Bleh, I guess I should be more mad at Lopez for walking the only guy he was going to face in Damon. I should also be mad at Dotel for throwing a week cutter down the middle to one of the better power hitters in the game.
At least the Pirates have six games against two teams that are right above their suckage and should pull out some victories, hopefully.

I suppose it's only fair after Oakland swept you in the last series.

Jake Fox got DFA in Oakland. I wouldn't mind if the Pirates took a look at him considering he'd bring some pop, but no defense.

Damn. I loved Fox on the Cubs last year, even though he couldn't play any position.
Do you know if it was because he was sucking, or because the A's thought it was a good idea to bring in like 5 DHs on the roster?

I have no clue why they DFA him. He was hitting a little over .200 and only 2 homers, so that could be it. He plays multiple positions, just not any good. He'd be like Delwyn Young with a whole lot more pop.

It was a stupid pick. Especially knowing he'd need surgery. Actually the pick wasn't that terrible but giving him a major league deal was.
