I've heard that Seattle will take less than fair value for Lee if they are getting major league everyday players in return.

Cardinals always struggle in the 3rd game when trying to sweep a team. Aaron Miles should just retire, he's total garbage.

Bard has a striking split, approaching ROOGY territory, so I don't know if he'd be a great closer.
(This is the part where Brodeur yells at me for SSS)
Career K/BB vs Righties: 4.77
Vs. Lefties: 1.90
Career xFIP vs Righties: 2.61
Vs. Lefties: 4.13

i don't know what roogy means, but he's still better than papelbum :\ (who, for those who didn't see, had another fantastic performance tonight, giving up 3 runs in 2 innings)
but in other news, i believe dustin pedroia's slugging percentage was around .450 at the start of today's game, it's now at .503. his OPS climbed about .060 tonight too. he's on fire right now.

Pretty much a guy who can only be brought in/trusted to get right handed batters out.

I can't believe Bobby V had to take a job within the same division as us. This upsets me.

Papelbon has been just as bad against lefties and not nearly as good against righties. In 2009 he had an xFIP of 4.00 against lefties and it's 5.12 so far this season.

If you think I advocate Papelbon getting high leverage innings, you'd be mistaken.

Peter Gammons said that if the Pirates job were to open, Buck Showalter would be interested. I don't know how I would feel about that one.

He might, but since JR won't get fired due to him getting an extention, we will have to wait.
