I just want to win this game then go from there. If Cliff Lee can win Game 3, then the series will come back to Texas at the very least.

See this Twins? It's not impossible to beat the Yankees in the postseason!

Did anyone else notice how high Tim Lincecum looked sitting on the bench in the top of the 1st? He looked like he just took a rather large blunt to his dome.

Thrilled to get that win! Had to leave the house when it was 7-2, but I'm glad to see the final score.
It's now a best of 5 series with Cliff Lee on the mound for Game 1. :)

I hate Cody Ross. I was sooo happy to seem him leave the division. Not so much anymore. He is a Phillies killer as much as Pat the Bat is a Mets killer.

Aslong as the Yankees don't win the WS, I could give two shits who wins it.

agreed. I actually wish we'd bring Werth back and try and trade Ibanez instead. Burrell has also killed the Phillies ever since he's left.

Well yeah, Brown/Victorino/Werth is the ideal situation.

10 great moves the Rangers made to get here.
1. Traded Justin Smoak to the Seattle Mariners for Cliff Lee.
Rangers received some criticism for giving up on Smoak for what is considered a rental.
2. Moved CJ Wilson from the bullpen to the rotation.
Gutsy call after Wilson had relative success as a reliever/closer.
3. Brought Colby Lewis (1999 Rangers 1st round pick) back to Texas after playing in Japan in 2009.
Credit to the Rangers front office for keeping tabs on Lewis and beating out the As in signing him this past offseason.
4. Traded Mark Teixeira to the Atlanta Braves for Elvis Andrus, Neftali Feliz among others.
One of the greatest trades in Rangers history despite the crown jewel of the trade (Saltalamacchia) not panning out.
5. Moved Michael Young from 2B to SS to allow Ian Kinsler to have a spot on the Major league roster. Moved Young from SS to 3B to allow Elvin Andrus to be with the club at just 20 years old.
Michael Young is the leader of this club for damn good reason. The ultimate showing of sacrifice for the team.
6. Traded Edison Volquez for Josh Hamilton.
Even I was like WTF?!!! We finally develop good pitching and then we trade him away!!! I'm a happy happy man today!
7. Traded Francisco Cordero, Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix to the Milwaukee Brewers for Carlos Lee and Nelson Cruz.
Lee was the big get at the time, but the Rangers demanded Cruz be included in the trade, in case Lee left in FA (which he did). They believed in Cruz who was up to then considered a stat padder in the minors who couldn't hit major league pitching.
8. Signed Vladimir Guerrero in the offseason.
Many said he was done. A walking cast. LA gave up on him. Nobody was aggressive in signing him in the offseason... then the Rangers came calling. Vlad has not only stayed healthy, but has been a great influence on the other Latino players on the team.
9. Traded Eric Gagne for Kasson Gabbard and David Murphy.
This was a nice deal, but Gabbard was supposed to be the bigger piece to the trade.
10 a. Signed Ron Washington as Manager for the Rangers despite no managerial experience on his resume. Kept Ron even after the cocaine incident. Signed Mike Maddox as the pitching coach. Signed Clint Hurdle as the hitting coach.
A big deal after years of success with Rudy Jaramillo.
10 b. Hired Nolan Ryan as President of Operations.
Is now part owner of the Rangers. His impact has been instrumental in the Rangers success.
3 moves that the Rangers made that didn't work
1. Traded 1B Adrian Gonzalez and SP Chris Young to the San Diego Padres for Adam Eaton and Akinori Otsuka.
Holy **** Mother ******!
2. Traded A-Rod for Alfonso Soriano. Traded Soriano for Brad Wilkerson and Termel Sledge.
They ultimately traded A-Rod for Wilkerson in my eyes.
3. Traded John Danks for Brandon McCarthy.

You also got Arias in the A-Rod trade. Who you turned into Francouer, however you feel about that. Although I do believe Robinson Cano was on the list of players to be named later who you could have chosen and went with Arias instead.

Niners won, so I expect to be let down by the Giants.
