Yeah, E-6 Cabrera needs to go in Cincy (and any other ML team for that matter).
I love me some Yonder Alonso. If Raul Ibanez can be a left fielder, so can Yonder.
Volquez is probably closer to a #2, the rest are back end guys (but solid). Chapman, who knows? He's somewhat of a wild card to be an effective starter.. I don't know if you want to anchor a rotation with the guy quite yet.
Greinke makes a lot of sense for Cincy if they are willing to part with the players to get him.

To be fair, with the excess production the Reds are getting at 2B with Phillips, they could technically afford a more glove-only SS if they could get another quality season out of Scott Rolen. I wouldn't bet on that, though. That is why I would recommend that the Reds look at Adrian Beltre...
What is the Reds' ownership stance on spending more? A lot of these big name FA's are going to be high dollar guys. With Votto, Bruce, and Stubbs getting towards arbitration, you have to look at the finances to make sure that there is enough money to lock those guys up.

Forgot about Juan Francisco as the Reds' 3B of the future. Forget about Beltre. No need to worry about overpaying that guy...
If the Reds go make a move for Grienke, they'll have to part with a lot of talent. Alonso probably doesn't figure to be a huge impact guy in the deal because the Royals have Eric Hosmer in the system. They have him pretty much locked down as their 1B of the future. Alonso could play LF for them, but he's more of a platoon guy there (still has issues hitting lefties).

We have already said we will not bring him back.
We are...well the fans are ready.
I think Wood has some big time potential. If you never got to see him pitch, try to next year. Wicked control and an absolute killer change up.

Francisco is not a ML 3B in the long run. Or at least not on a team like the Reds that really live on defense.
Alonso could DH in KC.

With Billy Butler there, he doesn't really play for that team. It is not a great fit.

Lee's agent already said the NY fan thing is not an issue and won't be a factor. But then again even it was an issue, he has to say that to keep Yankees in any potential bidding to drive up his cost. Who knows? I doubt it matters.

I don't know if you saw what I posted earlier... but starting next season they will have a new 20 year, $3 Billion dollar contract with Fox Southwest. That's $150M a year before playing a single game. If Lee costs $25M a year, it's worth the investment. Both sides want to make sure the Rangers are winning cause that will raise TV ratings.
|
Wait...so you are telling me that the Rangers have a 20 year gaurenteed contract deal already set up? Regardless of how they do? I am sure that will push the owners to cut 20 million dollars of profit and put it into their payroll now.
:/
Their are tons of very very very wealthy owners in MLB, but only a few are willing to spend the big bucks and the Yankees have clearly established that they are willing to push that limit significantly further than anyone else.

The Rangers need to grow some balls and demand Cliff Lee start games 1, 4 and 7. I don't give a **** that Lee doesn't want to go on short rest, it's two goddamn starts and it's the World ******* Series.

Greinke is going to be gone, it's better for you to understand that. With the best system in baseball, the Royals should be good to go in two years and right now is the best time to load up even more by trading Greinke.

That's not going to happen, and the Reds won't trade Chapman for him either so I don't see any way in which the Royals trade him to the Rays. It will either be the Twins (Duensing-Hicks-Sano-others) or the Rangers (Holland-Perez-Beltre) or someone else I can't think of.

Just my opinion, but World Series > resigning Lee. That's how the Rangers should be thinking.

They should worry about winning this World Series. Because they could also lose because they didn't pitch him 3 times and he very well could leave anyway.

I'd go...
Lee
Lewis
Wilson
Lee
Holland/Wilson/Feldman
Lewis
Lee
It's unconventional, but Lewis is a fly ball orientated pitcher and he would be great in San Francisco's park. The Giants are a bit tougher, but I suppose...
Lincecum

I'm not saying they should let him pitch when he wants to, but from every thing I have looked at, he's expected to start game one. Where is conflicting information coming from?

The problem is that Feldman is pitching Game 4, and not Cliff Lee.

Tim Lincecum
Matt Cain
Jonathan Sanchez
Madison Bumgarner
Rangers
Cliff Lee
C.J. Wilson
Colby Lewis
Tommy Hunter

Eh, I just confuse Hunter and Feldman all the time. They're interchangeable to me.
