I also feel that the Dodgers are also gonna sign Bill Hall, Hopefully only for 1 year, btu he's the kind of player Ned Colletti creams himself for

You'll like Blanco Fenikz. Perfect backup catcher for us last year and everyone seemed to like him. His nickname is Hank White for obvious reasons.

Steep price, but it's only for 1 year, which is a relief given that he was offered multiple years by a couple clubs.
Tigers lineup will look something like this:
1. Austin Jackson, CF
2. Scott Sizemore / Will Rhymes / Carlos Guillen, 2B
3. Magglio Ordonez, RF
4. Miguel Cabrera, 1B
5. Victor Martinez, DH
6. Jhonny Peralta, SS
7. Ryan Raburn (R) / Brennan Boesch (L), LF
8. Brandon Inge, 3B
9. Alex Avila, C

That's a lot for Jenks, but it's only a 2-year deal so I can't really complain.

Oh jeez. Can't say I saw that coming. Really not sure how I feel about that. A lot of money for I guy that gets smacked around as often as he does, but we need relievers, not even good ones necessarily, just ones to even have on the roster that can pitch in the majors.

I like the Jenks signing for the Red Sox. Jenks actually had a very good year last year but since everyone has been looking at E.R.A they think otherwise. He was unlucky with BABIP which was at .368. His career average is way below that. His K/9 was up and his HR rate was about normal. His walk rate was a little higher than average also but that should balance out with BABIP when it goes back down. Looking at FIP and xFIP he could have a really nice season next year just setting up Papelbon.

I wanted Willingham in Detroit if Maggs hadn't signed here.

Willingham is going to have major problems in that huge Oakland OF.

Cubs signed Wood for 1 year $ 1.5 million. How are all these RP's getting crazy deal and Wood only gets that. Weird. I know he turned down more money from the White Sox but still.

The outfield isn't really huge. If you compare the dimensions to other parks I think it's fairly average. It's the foul territory and the night air that make it a pitchers park.

He has had his issues the last two years, but given the contracts handed out this offseason he still should have gotten like 2 years/$6 million.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. You have guys like Guerrier, Crain, and your boy getting outrageous deals so it was suprising to see Wood get so little.

Yankees should have re-signed him and hoped him and Prior could re-kindle some magic.

Prior is done, no thoughts of him ever doing anything again should be had.

I'm pretty sure the Cubs got a bit of the "hometeam" discount on that one... I think he just loves the Cubs organization, and Cubs fans love him.

Red Sox signed Andrew Miller to a minor league deal. I think he makes it with some coaching. He's probably done as a starter at this point, but we're going to be trying the Daniel Bard experiment all over again with him.
Interestingly enough, we also signed Ryan Harvey, who we're converting to a pitcher.

Wood was ridiculously good as a Yankee last year. I'm shocked he went that cheap. When he is healthy, he is much better than any of these relievers.
