Adrian Gonzalez has missed 3 opposite field homeruns this week by a few inches :( He's wearing out the wall, but he's having a hard time getting the ball over it.

Slim to none. If he is willing to accept a 2 year deal might have a chance but it does not help that he is a Boras client.

Shields is getting rocked tonight. You know you're having a bad day when Ryan Sweeney takes you deep.

That's not the only wall he's wearing out. (It's your mom's, in case you didn't know)

Rowand at least hasn't been hurt 90% of this season and is atleast serviceable defensively. He's also showed some life batting too.

Burrell is a better hitter, and Torres is perfectly fine in center. Rowand doesn't really have any purpose.

But still i'd rather hold on to Rowand then Burrell. Burrell gets a homerun during garbage time every so often and people look at the stats and think he's good.

Burrell can't be released. He's on the 15-day DL. Needs to be activated first, but the 15 days aren't up yet.

2nd story CSN "Authentic" has botched today (first one Clements release). I would rather just boot Hinshaw off the 40 man. Wish they could DFA Bill Hall, who comes off the DL Saturday.
Also #FreeBelt.

According to ESPN's Jim Bowden, the Indians have acquired Kosuke Fukudome from the Cubs for prospect outfielder Abner Abreu and right-hander Carlton Smith.

Braves are now expected to set their sights to Quentin. I'd only want him if we could extend him. I still have no idea what this would mean for our OF, considering Prado is in LF and Heyward is in RF.
Not too keen on Heyward getting sent down.

Red Sox "all over" Bedard. Assuming the price is right, I really like it. Probably more for a B prospect and a C or a few C's, but we've got that down on the farm. I just hope we don't give up any of the high upside Greenville hitters. Doubt that's a problem anyway.

Probably should have picked up Fukudome, because the Indians are only paying him about $775,000 and they gave up two guys who suck.

If the White Sox trade Quentin, they will likely use Viciedo to replace Quentin. The holdup of Quentin going to the Braves is the condition of Viciedo's thumb. He hasn't played since Saturday, so we will have to see. I would like for this to happen so the Sox can get a good arm or two from the Braves system.

I cant stand rentals...especially at a position that is currently filled with a young phenom. Granted, a phenom who has battled injury all year and is struggling with his swing. But still.
As for Fukudome, Brodeur....the Braves are looking for a right handed bat, first off. Preferably a power bat. I still think Bourn is the best thing for us...even though, he's a left handed, speedy, on base machine. haha.

So basically the same things Fukudome does, except with a lot more speed. Well then...
And again, they gave up NOTHING for him. Those two guys are absolutely horrible.
