Cuban player, stud outfielder over there with a lot of pop.
I think he'll do ok here, he won't be an All-Star or anything IMO.

No interest I think. Atleast they haven't been publicly connected.

I think Yoenis Cespedes will be Drew Stubbs with a little more pop and less steals. I don't believe the Matt Kemp type hype.
Projection .265 25 HRs 27 Steals and good in Center Field

He went 5/35 (.143) no walks 10k's and 1 HR in the DR league in just a few games. Was having trouble hitting the slider, he couldn't lay off of them. Still at 26 yrs old he has some potential.
Would like to see the O's sign him but I doubt it.

Prince Fielder presser just ended.
Jim Leyland said, in no uncertain terms, that Miguel Cabrera will be his starting third baseman in 2012.

Also, Brandon Inge is the curse that won't go away. He's pissed off again. Is there any team in the majors that will take this guy off our hands? WE will pay YOU!

OMG!!! I just had a ******* terrible idea...what will happen if Leyland decides to make him the backup catcher? There could be some days of: Prince at first, Peralta at short, Cabrera at 3rd, and Inge at catcher...

Dude, it will never, ever, ever happen. Leyland was asked directly whether any of the many lineups he's already mapped out had Inge at catcher, short or outfield. Answer was no.
Inge is more likely to be off the team completely. And they signed Gerald Laird to be the backup catcher. Just ain't happening ever.

It won't be pretty, BUT he does have good hands and a good throwing arm. Range is very clearly the problem.

So if Miggy is at 3B and Prince at 1B, who will DH? Why not have Miggy DH and find a 3B who can play D?

Because Cabrera will have to get used to third base eventually for when Victor Martinez returns next year and has to be the DH.
Also, for this season, I'm (presently) predicting Cabrera's playing time will be split as such: 50% 3B, 35% DH, 15% 1B

I'd rather have Soler.

That depends. Do the Yankees have to face the Tigers to get there?

If the Red Sox are out on Cespedes, I really wouldn't mind taking a flier on Jorge Soler. Any news on him lately?

What took them so long? Don't retire numbers unless they're a hall of famer?

I'm still waiting the day until MLB retires Clemente's number.
