Hard to say. The Mets are getting dominated by Carlos Silva right now.
I have to think this is short term move with Zambrano. It could give them a temporary shot in the arm. The Cubs starting pitching hasn't been the problem. They've all been pretty good with the exception of Z. And with Lilly coming back, someone had to be bumped. I think Z is probably their third best SP right now, but he certainly hasn't been pitching like it.

Even Z has been pitching pretty decently, with the obvious exception of the season opener, it just doesn't make a lot sense not to put Gorzelanny in the pen.

Pirates getting outscored 16-1 in two games against the Brew Crew. That is the sex.

Jason Heyward is going to hear foot steps all season for ROY if Alcides Escobar keeps hitting the ball the way he is. Led of back-to-back innings with triples tonight.

I predict Randy Winn doesn't make it until June 10 before getting DFA'd or dumped by the Yankees.

He never hit this well in the minors so I really doubt he keeps it up. Heyward is a lock.

He's about as close to his original self right now as I ever could have hoped. Hitting 93-94 on the fastball and the slider looks great, looks like he has the control thing worked out too.
If he keeps this up we're winning at least 90 games this year.

Phil Hughes looking super sexy tonight. Doing it mostly on all fastballs and cutters too. Barely even working in his curve.

At worst, the Rays are looking at an 8-2 road trip.

I've always loved Oakland as a pitchers park. With all the foul territory there, you're good for probably 2 extra outs a game that you wouldn't get in maybe any other ballpark.

^ Make it 7 - time for some fun on YES!
King Felix has gone through 7 innings giving up one unearned run with just 80 pitches. Should be a CG easy.

Definitely. Unless you start like 4 pitchers a week or something.

Definitely. He probably should have been drafted.
Also is it really fair for Halladay to face NL hitters all year? He's going to win like 23 games this year.

If Phil Hughes gets the no-hitter, the NFL Draft is gonna be canceled for more Yankees coverage.

I wouldn't be shocked. I'm not quite sure why I went with 23 actually.
Not that wins matter at all for pitchers though.

Hopefully that Yankee coverage only gets interrupted when the Giants select McClain and then back to Yankee coverage.
That was crappy hit.
