yea Mattison needed to get punched in the balls, his system didnt even make sense on paper.
Smith showed his performance VS. STL wasnt a fluke and he is a ******* beast. IDK what Lee Evans deal is with his ankle but if he gets to pre season form him and Smith going deep will be amazing. Boldin and the tight ends will have teh middle free. If he gets healthy we will be sick.

The bye week is coming at a good time for us. A good portion of our injured players have a chance at coming back for the Houston game and we're going to need them.

Evans and Smith on the field together will be huge for opening up the offense. I'd still rather move through Raymell but having those two deep threats with Boldin and our TE's will really open up the field and either we get a lot of 1 on 1s or defenses can't stack the box anymore.

Never like to see a guy hurt, but sweetness! AJ being out makes this game a ton easier. Now we just have to handle Foster to really control their offense. And we get a bunch of players back from nursing injuries with an extra week to game plan for them.
Who should be coming back this week; J Smith, Evans, Grubbs? Thats 3 starters right there.

bye weeks suck :(
another thing that I am not cheering is the injury of Mario Williams. Just glad that he will likely not play next week either.

nah I don't think its as anywhere near as bad as Gaithers was. I think he could've played vs. St. Louis or even the Jets if they were much bigger games.
I honestly think they are resting him as well as Grubbs until they are completely 100% healthy instead of rushing em back.

Anyone else think that Flacco needs to show up in the second half of games this year?
He has been great in the beginning of most of our games and then the offense kind of relaxes and then they do little later on. When they see the defense taking over they just kinda say "okay cool they got this one." I know the aggression will be dialed down with a good defense and a lead, but if we keep the pedal down we could put teams away early.

I think "keeping the pedal down" is what the Ravens have been trying to do (i.e. when they kept throwing the ball vs. St. Louis instead of pulling starters & when we continued to throw the ball with a double digit deal vs. the Jets, instead of killing the clock and even going for 2 vs. Pitt.) unfortunately it hasn't worked out for us as much as we hoped but I'm glad that what we are trying to do.

Hopefully these extra snaps will have their intended effect of developing chemistry of the offense. We need to be sharp come playoffs. Evans, Torrey, and Dickson are all relatively new to Flacco so they need to get as much time in together as possible.

Joe is still holding on to the ball way too long. Cam needs to start running the ball. Rice is the best player on the offense by far. Stop putting the ball in Joe's hands.

Seriously, just find ways to get Ray Rice the ball.

We need some ZBS runs and cut backs for rice. He does well with those but doesnt do as well running up the middle. Cameron needs to have better runs for Rice.

seriously WTF. why do we run rice out of a i formation up the middle. Every play its a maximum 2, when we allow him to cut back its a minimum of 4.
If I saw one more out route my head was gonna ******* blow.
Cam has got to go

Its time to face the reality that Flacco just isn't very good.

Honestly the worst game I've seen from our offense in a long long time. The defense was great but the offense was indescribably bad. Hopefully they look at the tape and can figure out what went so wrong. Hats off the the Jags defense though; they got good pressure and really locked up our receivers.
Flacco played poorly but its not like the OL and WR were helping him that much. Hopefully he can bounce back from this.

he might not be very good, but how many QB's are when there WR's can't get separation and there o-line blows. Not to mention all the penalties from those demented refs.
The entire offensive unit blew last night. Not just Flacco.
and YES! Cam has to go.

...To the Jags? REALLY? THE JAGS?
That was one of the most pathetic offensive showings I've seen in my entire time watching football. The refs didn't help us a whole lot, but that was just sad. If we lose the division because of a game we lost on Monday night to THE ******* JAGUARS, then we really got what is coming to us. That was just sad.

Rice ran the ball 8 times last night. 8 whole carries in a game that was never really out of reach for us. One more time: 8 carries. Flacco wasn't good and the Jaguars defense (especially their secondary) played very well, but 8 carries? You know where I'm going with this.

I was so ******* pissed off with the routes our wideouts were running. No coincidence when Boldin runs a post out of the slot, he gets a TD. Where were the ins, slants, drags, any sort of crossing route??? Although to Cams defense, Joe did though a pick on a TE stop route over the middle.
What a pathetic performance. I still love our defense though.
