Which RB would you rather have?
Arguing with my brother about our teams RB and which is better take into account the totals as well as the amount of games started. Not gonna name the players to avoid bias posters. Please let me know what you think
RB1 - 55 Games Started, 4,081 Rushing Yards, 31 Rushing TDs, 4.4 Yards Per Carry, 1,249 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TDs, 8.3 Yards Per Catch
RB2 - 37 Games Started, 3,455 Rushing Yards, 40 Rushing TDs, 4.4 Yards Per Carry, 543 Receiving Yards, 3 Receiving TDs, 9.4 Yards Per Catch

you cant just base who's better off of stats. But if we did id take RB1 because he has had good YPC for a longer period of time. This seems like Jonathan Stewart vs DeAngelo Williams, in which case it isnt fair because Jonathan Stewart seemed to have alot more red zone plays.

I would take RB1. Just cause he seems like duel threat.

idk this one is a tough one, but just looking at it fairly quickly i'd go with RB1. Just seems like a more complete, well-rounded player as far as stats goes.

Well one is Brandon Jacobs, and he was a goalline back mostly for two seasons, and totaled 16 TDs those two years.

Just based on numbers, I'd take RB2. Less mud on the tires.

this size, weight, speed, running style, and what pieces I have around them are all important aspects.

Played the same amount of years. Jacobs just was sitting behind Tiki. I would go with Jacobs, because he really is not that far off in terms of yards and has 10 more TDs. My brother is a fins fan and he has been talking how Ronnie is so muc better than him how its not even close. So I decided to look up the stats and saw that they are very close stats wise. If the Giants didnt have Tiki then Jacobs would probably have alot better stats.

RB1 has well over 900 carries. RB2 has significantly fewer. When in doubt, I'll take the RB with fewer miles on his wheels.

I think Brown is better than Jacobs. Brown can do everything where Jacobs is just a truck.

Brandon Jacobs was a situational RB in 2005 and 2006. How many more yards would he have had if he was the main RB like Ronnie was.

Well Ronnie also shared the ball with Ricky Williams his first year. You can't really base your argument Ronnie vs Brandon on production

I think it depends on what kind of offense you want to run. If you're looking for versatility, you take RB1 despite the fact that he's a bigger injury risk for the simple fact that he's not only a more versatile runner and receiver, but he reintroduced a long dead formation to the NFL that then spread like wildfire. If you're looking for a power runner, however, you easily take RB2, who is probably the biggest back in the NFL and is bigger than some DEs he faces. If you're looking for the better draft value, you also clearly take RB2, who was selected 3 rounds later than RB1 in the same draft.
