That blew my mind. Perfect. The single greatest episode of television I have ever seen.

I don't know whether a binge-watcher can appreciate the greatness of Breaking Bad as much as someone who watched weekly for several years. The transformation that Walt undertakes when consuming the show in a condensed period of time can't possibly resonate as marvelously and devastatingly as it has for weekly watchers of the show.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the purpose of the show was laid out when Walt said chemistry is the study of change and to witness everything change so rapidly, I think it must detract a little bit from the full intent of Gilligan and Co.

But by all means, I'm certainly glad for every single person that's latched onto the show in time to witness the final episode live.

I know there are two episodes left and lot of **** will go down, but for me, Ozymandias was the series. It will almost certainly be the defining episode of the show, the true "climax". Walt lost everything. He lost most of his money. He got his brother-in-law killed. He irreversibly severed all ties with Jesse (you could say he did that last episode, but the Jane story sealed it), and doomed him to torture and presumably death (he still has a small shot at escape/survival, IMO). But most importantly, he destroyed all ties with his family, which was his primary motivation for cooking meth in the first place.

Walt's damnation is complete, and these next two episodes will probably simply be the tying up of loose ends. I think I'm actually more interested in the fate of Jesse than Walt at this point. To me, the entire series for Walt was leading up to that episode. I'm sure these final two episodes will be great, but they'll never live up to that.

I actually can see this being the best episode, it really is going to be amazing if they manage to top that one. Next one is certainly going to be a heavy set up episode for the finale so its possible. if one show could do it, its breaking bad tho.

I disagree completely. Weekly watching allows me to forget things, especially from season to season. I watched the characters grow and fall in the course of days, always remembering exactly how they were when the show started. What amazes me most about this show is how each character cycles through likable and you want to see them dead so much. I can hate and sympathize with pretty much every character (except Saul, hes always awesome).

I actually think Walt ends up saving Jesse. At the time he was pissed. He blamed Jessie for it all. I think all the stuff with his family later breaks him and kind of changes him. I think he realizes that he is really to blame. I think he will get just that bit of redemption in the end by setting up his family with a bunch of money and sacrificing himself for Jesse because there is no going back to his family.

Todd is an incredibly interesting character. He's as evil as anybody else on the show, and he does all this evil **** with a child-like demeanor.

Agree. I kinda hated the first half, not that it was bad but it was not what I wanted to see happen, everyone gets the short end of the stick except the skinheads.

I can hate and sympathize with pretty much every character (except Saul, hes always awesome).
I can respect that. I haven't had trouble remembering the details because I've rewatched many times and have all of the people in this thread to help bring every bit of minutia back to the forefront.

I'm sticking by my opinion though. This show wasn't actually ideal to be binge-watched. Gotta let the relentless activity breathe a little bit in between.
