Pre-Draft OROY and DROY awards.
Who do you think will win the OROY and DROY awards this year? (Obviously, this is before they are drafted... but it's only meant for fun)
OROY: CJ Spiller. Running backs win this award a lot. I'd say he's got the best explosive game of any running back except maybe Jahvid Best. A few long highlight reel runs will lock up the award for Spiller
DROY: Brandon Graham. Linebackers tend to win this award. Graham is a monster and could play OLB in most schemes. Might be better suited for 43 DE, but don't rule out a Brian Orakpo-esque move.
Darkhorses:
Jimmy Clausen - He's the most pro-ready QB coming out of this draft. While he may not be the best, he's definitely the most ready to start day 1. I think this gives him a faster start on the right team. He could win 8 games and get the QB bump, unless the Bills draft him.
Rolando McClain - he's a linebacker. He's a beast. Not really a dark horse, but i wanted Graham as the #1.

I'd agree it's pretty pointless considering we don't know where they go, but... I'm gonna go with Mathews and McClain

i like carrington as a prospect and think he can contribute early but i dont see how he could be in a situation where he could put up the statline necessary to compete for droty.

Eh, let me phrase it another way then: Who are your favorite Offensive and Defensive players in the draft?

OROY: Spiller gets it by being another Percy Harvin, except that he'll make a higher proportion of his big plays in the running game. I don't think the team that drafts him is going to be as much of an issue as it would be with other players, because the point is to get him the ball in space, which means kicks and screens; these kind of plays don't require much from the offense.
DROY: Way too hard to predict. I can't offer a serious guess. Eric Berry? Suh? Spoon? All anyone can do is list the best players. It's a little different with predicting the OROY, because you know that the ball is going to go to them; defensive players have to get to the ball themselves.

Ryan Matthews and Brandon Graham.
I think Graham goes to a team like Tennessee, Atlanta, or someone else in that 10-20 range with a good supporting cast around him and gets 10+ sacks. Matthews goes to either Houston or San Diego and has a nice rookie year running the ball. Spiller I think winds up in a place like Jacksonville and splits carries. Same goes for Best.

How about now?
Any chance McCourty takes the DROY home over Suh? Are there any contenders better than those two?
Bradford looks like the clear OROY. Is he winning in a landslide?

I think Haden is close to McCourty but neither will even come close to Suh. He should be the unanimous pick. Mike Williams and LeGarrette Blount could also get some votes, but Bradford should win in a landslide, just not as big as Suh.

9 sacks from the DT position... as a rookie... I can't see Suh losing that award
McCourty is playing beastly though... glad he got the Pro Bowl nod.
If Bradford/Rams don't win their division and Williams breaks 1000 yds rec, I'd like to see him win it.
Realistically, Bradford will win... easy

My list was a complete bust. CJ Spiller can't get into the starting lineup, Clausen Blows badly.
Graham is hurt and hasn't been that good, while McClain hasn't been anything to write home about.
