Jeremiah Masoli Booted Off the Ducks
I suppose it's no real surprise, but Masoli is out for good now. Per ESPN, he "failed to "adhere to obligations." I would've posted only the ESPN article, but TMZ's featured the news that he just recently was arrested for pot possession during a routine traffice stop. Masoli was a blast to watch, but now looks to be nothing more than a bum.
Quote:
Jeremiah Masoli -- who was once regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the country -- has just been officially kicked off the University of Oregon football team days after the 21-year-old had another brush with the law.
The U of O just released a statement explaining, "Masoli has been dismissed from the school’s football program for a failure to adhere to obligations previously outlined by head football coach Chip Kelly."
Earlier this week, Masoli was arrested for marijuana possession following a traffic stop in Oregon.
Masoli had already been suspended for the upcoming season after pleading guilty to burglarizing a frat house back in January.

I think Darron Thomas ends up the starter now. Costa is a senior but does he have the talent?

<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

I think it's Costa for now. I think he has a better arm so they could add a more dangerous dimension then Thomas. But I could see Thomas as well.

UFL should take some of these kicked off players, at least it adds some excitement to the game.

X 2.
What an idiot. Proves there's a difference between an education and being smart.

I think they should want, and take, ANY type of publicity they can get.
Who can think of an all-outlaw team for them?
Pacman Jones
LeGarrett Blount
Johnny Jolly might be available eventually.....
Who else?

He's entering the Supplemental Draft where no one will want him, kind of like at Oregon.
