I see UConn being the next addition if a team or two are taken from the ACC. Right now the only two, possibly three, teams I see leaving are Florida State (to SEC), Maryland (to Big Ten), or Boston College (to Big Ten only if Notre Dame goes B1G)

Pitt and Syracuse vote could occur as early as tomorrow, supposedly it's a formality at this point.

Big East is exploding. Where does that leave WVU? SEC, right?

WVU would be extremely lucky if the SEC were to add them. Otherwise, they're probably with Louisville and Cincinnati trying to pair up with what's left of the Big 12.

I would think so, though for anxiety's sake, I'd like to see that settled sooner rather than later. But I'm wondering if one reason Pitt and 'Cuse started the ball rolling is because they know that WVU will be gone soon.

Big 10 please call Rutgers soon!!! In reality I know we're in contact with each other but please make a move. Right now we're the fat kid who is going to be picked last for the team.

I wouldn't mind Rutgers to the ACC, but it's going to be a real tough sell. Still, it would keep the old Big East together a little bit which would be nice. Not much to say for it otherwise though, unfortunately. Wish you guys were better at basketball.

Rutgers needs to win some games that matter before the B1G seriously considers them. We already have enough bad football programs.

For some reason the ACC has 0 interest in us. It doesn't make sense to me as there would be a good natural rivalry with Maryland and Boston College among the other things we bring to the table. Our basketball team is getting much better and we just had a top 10 recruiting class in the country last year. We will probably finish in the top 10 of the Big East this year which is incredibly good when we will have 7 true freshmen playing. Mike Rice is really bringing this program to a new level.

I guess the ACC needed some leverage in TV contract negotiations?
I don't understand why they'd want Pitt or Cuse. I'd much rather have Rutgers and WVU.

We belong in the ACC now. All our rivals, Pitt, MD, VTech, VA. We'll see if we can get into the SEC.

The ACC for basketball is going to be ridiculous.

Not really. It's still not as good as the Big East was with Pitt and Syracuse.

Yeah its still very top heavy with UNC, Duke, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh. Now if u add UConn and West Virginia.....that would be just crazy basketball wise. But those conference semi-finals would be awesome. And the ACC is still a ****** football conference.

The ACC doesn't want West Virginia because of academic concerns. They don't fit the profile that they're looking for at all.

UConn is supposedly trying to get into the ACC. That would likely bring Rutgers along for the ride. That would be absolutely fantastic having all those schools in the same conference from a Northeast college football perspective. However, there's some obstructions. Boston College is completely buttmad at UConn for various legal disputes after their messy parting from the Big East in 2003. It would be sad if it held something like that up. An ACC with UConn sets them over the top basketball wise and establishes a legitimately watchable college football environment compared to what we have now.

Looks like they're working on a way to let Texas keep the Longhorn Network.

Texas would probably bring OK,OK State,Texas Tech to make it the Pac 16. what is TCU going to do if the Big East Breaks up? I think the Rest of the Big East and the Rest of the Big 12 School should Combine to make a Conference themselves.

If we stay in a "new" Big East while adding teams like Baylor or Iowa State I'll be super pissed.

I wouldn't mind seeing TCU in the SEC.
I know it won't happen, but still.
