Could be starting for an awesome team in an awesome city in an awesome league but instead chooses to suck up to Flacco.
Awesome job, Bulger.

He is going to make 3.8 million.
How much do you think he would have made in the UFL?

A starting job.
Bulger has earned lots of money when he was a starter with the Rams. At this point of his career, money should not be an issue for him. Or any player.

LMAO at a 2nd string QB in the NFL being worse than a starting QB in the UFL.

Nobody wants to play in the UFL.
Realitycheck is like the biggest UFL guy here. As of right now, the UFL is still pretty damn irrelevant.

Still, playing in the UFL even as a starter, you know you're not playing in the highest competition there is. And that is aside from the smaller pay Bulger would be getting. Even if money isn't an issue for him, it's still wise to try and make as much as you can...and it doesn't mean one has to be greedy to do that. Bulger may have a chance to win the starting job in the NFL. It's a great opportunity for him.

Are you just ******** or that moronic? The UFL isn't even worth mentioning. Bulger wasn't going to get any starting job in the NFL, see what Cleveland did as proof, so he jumped when anyone offered him something. It just so happened that the Ravens' offer was financially appealing.

It's hard to believe for some people, but when these players receive a lot of money they tend to spend more than before. Not every player with an NFL history is well-off financially. That said, Bulger may or may not have a ton of money due to his living costs which are surely much higher than our own. Going from the NFL down to the UFL is a last resort; you won't be seeing 2nd string players taking pay-cuts to go down and play at a less competitive level. If you're a true competitor you don't want to be handed a job against inferior talent simply for playing time, you want to compete for the chance to play against the world's best athletes in the NFL.
Word is neither Flacco nor Ed Reed have really endorsed this signing, instead showing loyalty toward Troy Smith. It's looking like that Ravens team is having some problems within. I won't believe they're the team to beat in the AFC North until I see it.
As for Bulger, fine pickup. Not sure he makes the team any better or more well-insured, but he probably doesn't make them any worse either.

Ehh I am not nervous w/ inner chemistry. Flacco just said it is gonna suck that one of his friends may have to leave. Reed said he thinks Smith could lead the Ravens to a championship, so Reed was either high or is just delusional.

Reed also has shown a great amount of displeasure with the Ravens organization, even mentioning early retirement a few times. Usually when a franchise may be "mistreating" one player there's a good chance that others feel similarly. How many successful seasons before Ray Rice wants more money than his second round contact gives him?

I'm not trying to hate on the Ravens here, but I do feel like there may be a little internal discord there that is quietly swirling around. For a divisional favorite I feel Baltimore has a lot to prove. I'm not sure this team will deliver on the field quite like they do on paper.

No you're a division foe trying to stir the pot. Look Reed's health is a question to him and the organization, coupled with him getting older and realizing that his future on the field is limited. Its similar to Ray Lewis a few years ago complaining about a new contract. Reed is set to be one of the highest paid safeties as is, but he has to play to get paid. He wants the up front money guaranteed now just in case he can't play for years to come. Thats not creating turmoil in the organization, thats between Ed and Ozzie. Not to mention that the Ravens' have a history of taking care of their own just fine.
Coming from a Bengals' fan this kind of pot stirring is expected. Yes you guys won the division, but face it your team is not one known for continued success. Palmer has regressed, Chad is more bluster then production, and add in the uncertainty with Cedric Benson you have a right to be worried. And that paranoia is feeding your desire to find fault in a feared rival.
Face it, the Bengals' have to prove they can do it again while the Ravens' have been in the playoffs back to back years, not to mention that they went deeper then your Bengals.

where Reed has been saying things about the organization if you watch his interview he says he is going to go out there as soon as he can. Said he wants to beat the Jets just as bad as anyone. He made it clear that he will be there for the team and how they aren't individuals they are a team and he will fight for them. Reeds problems with the organization shouldn't have an effect on him producing on the field. I can't wait until the season starts so we start busting ass. It's going to be fun to show our depth at safety and around October scare the **** out of everyone when Reed steps in. I feel like our team is good enough to make it to the playoffs without Reed so even if he needs most of the season to get healthy we will be good. As long as he is there when we make a run at the Superbowl I will be happy.

Troy Smith is a douche. He is going to be cut, and everyone will have to get over it. I really doubt Flacco cares, despite his nice words for Troy. Once Smith is gone chemistry will probably improve.
As for Reed, he is 31 and riddled with injuries. I doubt he is going to get a raise. He is getting plenty of money over the remainder of his deal. Furthermore, when he was out last year the secondary was much more disciplined and arguably played better. Obviously you want him on the field but I dont see any reason for him to be clamoring for a new deal.

IDK if Smith is a douche but I wouldnt mind Smith getting cut. One it can shut these players up on defense who love Troy. Back in 2008 Suggs said the reason Smith wasnt starting over Flacco was because Smith was black(a paraphrase but he said something ******** like that). Two, there are fans that still think Smith is better then Flacco, so get him out and they can ****.
Troy Smith sucks plain and simple. I thought he was a great project but his accurary is worse then Kyle Bollers. There is a reason why when Flacco could barely walk and sit down due to his injury Troy still didnt get a play
