Alright, it's my yearly "someone find me a computer" post. I'm currently running Windows XP and you know how that's going by now. I don't feel like building one and want to buy one soon. I don't appreciate Microsoft forcing me into this.
I don't do anything crazy on here.. just random websites, Youtube, music, movies, whatever. I'm not afraid to upgrade parts. I'd like to be able to join in on some Day Z action at some point.. and maybe play some other games, seeing as how PC is the master race and all.
Budget probably around $800ish with a monitor. Now find me one on Amazon or something.
If you're looking for a monitor as well you'll be hard pressed to find some kind of pre-built PC with decent specs. I feel like if you're willing to upgrade parts on it why not just build one? You will be able to do so for infinitely cheaper.
Also, you can keep using XP if you want. Microsoft just isn't updating it anymore. Also, Windows 7 is a million times better so you will be better off for it in the long run. You may want to hold out to the next Windows. Don't get 8. It's terrible. I don't understand Microsoft sometimes. They release one terrible OS like Vista or Windows 8 and then fix all of it and make a very good/solid OS to follow it.
<caddy> when i visit my parents, who kinda live in the country
<caddy> i hear them having sex :(
Welllll I could probably just buy the computer and wait on a monitor until a little later. I don't really want to build one because I haven't done it before and would like to have a computer up and running before the hackers steal my identity and start posting as me here. I still might build one later on this year though.
If you were willing to build it yourself you could build a decent rig for 800 bucks or less and if you were to hold off on the GC other wise you could probably do a decent amd build with a GC for 800
This, did my first build in august or september with a couple of small confidence boosters from here newegg, amd, promo codes, etc, $775 later and a couple days delivery took 45 minutes(first time) to build still going strong today! btw thanks
Wasn't there a site that helped you pick out parts for building a computer? I really have no idea what I'm getting into with that stuff. If I don't intend on getting into gaming too hardcore right now, but maybe later, what parts should I not spend much on and upgrade later?
