Not in 3 years given that he will only be in his second year in his league. But probably within 5 years depending on the team he goes to.

If you mean between Flacco and Tebow that's easy - Flacco.

Timeout, what's with all the Flacco hate in here? I understand he had one of the worst 3rd quarters in modern playoff history. But then he had a dropped touchdown pass, his D uncharacteristically giving up a 4th and extremely long (the number escapes me), and then his receivers being completely inept at the end of the game. I just really don't understand the overwhelming majority putting Bradford or even Ryan above him. Sanchez I can see (playoffs). Freeman obviously makes sense (ridiculous 2nd season). IMO, you get Flacco some reliable, field stretching wideouts (Roddy White, Mike Williams, Santonio Holmes, Calvin Johnson) and a playcaller that will let him loose, and he'll be as good as any one of these guys.

I agree Cameron is holding him back like you said. But you can make a case for those guys ahead of Flacco because Flacco has inconsistent poise. I dont think anyone is saying Flacco will be a bust though.

So much of this depends on the supporting cast of WRs, RBs, OL, and the offensive coordinator. It's hard to judge Bradford from just a rookie year, with a bunch of #4/#5 NFL WR's to throw to.

I want to see Freeman in some big games, a playoff game, and see how he performs under pressure against good defenses. Right now, this is how I would take them:

1) Bradford
2) Ryan
3) Sanchez
4) Freeman
5) Flacco
6) Stafford

Stafford doesn't do a team any good when he's as brittle as a china doll. I don't care if Corky throws a nice ball. The guy can't stay healthy. He's got like 13 games under his belt in 2 seasons.

This is interesting though, because a guy could make a case for or against anyone being #1 among these guys. Will the cream rise? Who is the cream?

I know much can be made for Sanchez's team but it shouldn't be easily dismissed that he performed the best out of the four quarterbacks in the division championships against the number 1 ranked defense in the entire NFL...

I don't care that you have Freeman ranked 4...but your reasoning and double standard is terrible. You won't put Freeman high because of lack of playoff situations yet put Bradford 1st? And then with your big emphasis on playoff performance you put Ryan at 2nd with his 0-2 playoff record, playing poorly at home this year in the playoffs and not well in his first playoff game either(although he was a rookie). Doesn't make sense to me based on your reasoning

I'm not sure why in supporting one QB on the list it is necessary to so often tear the others down. I have a hard time remembering a time when the NFL had such a large group of young QBs that actually showed such promise. And if I recall I'm one of the oldest guys on this board so we aren't talking about a small timeframe.

I think it's a bit overrated to rank QBs (Sanchez) ahead of others due to post season success. I mean, Dan Marino didn't win any Super Bowl titles, and he was probably a h*ll of a lot better than most QBs that did. (Guys like Terry Bradshaw, Brett Favre, just examples). Seriously, I mean Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson won Super Bowls and had postseason success. That doesn't make them better than the likes of Steve McNair or Donovan McNabb.

I keep forgetting that the question is who will be better when all is said and done and not RIGHT NOW.

Still, Freeman's 10 tds in 9 games is similar to Bradford's 17 tds in 16 games. Freeman did throw way more ints though. Freeman pushes the ball downfield way more (yeah I know Bradford's WRs suck). Untill Bradford puts up a 25/6 type season (with 365 yds rushing), I just cant put Bradford ahead of him.

Just wait until next season. With McDaniels as OC, Bradford might throw for 40 TDs and 4500 yards. Im excited to see.

It will take many years for all this to be cleared up, that's for sure.
Even now, Marino is debated big time.
And so is Brady-Manning.
Big Ben-Rodgers-Rivers, etc.
Rings are often overrated when ranking QBs.

With a list of 6 guys like this, it could and will change every single year.
Remember, before Warner went out almost on top in 2008 & 2009, he was given up on in St Louis and NYG.... after that, he had MVP stuff still.
Depending on teams and supporting casts, even great QBs can look bad.

Freeman and Tampa Bay need some primetime exposure next year.
I'd like to see one at Atlanta. Do they play the Rams and Bradford next year?
That would be another good one.
