OK, I am about a big of a Jamaal fan as there is, but you use the phrase "over his entire career" when he played half of his three year career as a back up. You make it sound a lot more impressive than it actually is. It is very impressive, but you don't have to make your entire case biased by some poor wording.

Chris Johnson had 358, quite a few more than 200 and Arian has 224 already with 5 games left to play. Sure, multiple backs have gotten to 1000 before the 200 carry mark, but they couldn't keep up the YPC avg that JC has kept his entire career. I heard the stat on the radio. I know I'm wrong and misinformed (as SuperMcgee pointed out, Derrick Ward has done it), but one thing we know for sure is I don't know how to convey my point properly. Sorry for the confusion.
It's all good we all make mistakes, either the radio station screwed up you just may not remember exactly what they said. But I looked it over a bit and I think I see what it was meant to be...

I don't buy the whole it meant finishing the season. Really there is no difference in finishing the season like that and still accomplising the same thing earlier in the season.

However I think what the stat would actually be is, Jamaal Charles is the only person in history to have 1,000 yards in less the 200 carries in 2 consecutive seasons. I haven't really looked into it but that seems very much more believeable to me, and it's very impressive.

I used to sell cars ;) (some of you may think that means nothing I say can be believed.) As a car salesman, I learn to speak in truths that can be interpreted anyway the listener wants to hear it. What you call my "entire case based on poor wording", I call stating fact. If you choose to look at the glass half empty and say he only started for half of his 3 seasons and has only 418 carries for his career, that's fine. It's your right to have any opinion you want. I on the other hand like the glass half full and see that in his 3 seasons he has 2 1000+ yd seasons (starting or otherwise) and has averaged 5.3, 5.9 and 6.3 ypc in each of his 3 years.

Whether you like my choice of words or not, Jamaal is an absolute beast. I think we agree on that.

That would require actually watching him play and coming up with a conclusion. Most people would rather take another persons wrong opinion and run with it.

People saying that Dorsey is a poor fit as a 3-4 DE doesn't neccesarily mean that he is a bad player or playing poorly...just that he isn't being utilized properly and would be playing even better at DT in a 4-3. Most Chiefs fans need to realize the difference.

well Charles is being underutilized.

We know that he is being underutilized but it is not handcuffing his abilities to be a very studly 3-4 DE. I would be better in porn but im not in so i still beast in my industry

But right now that would be simply a guess at best as he really hasn't played as a 3 technique DT in the NFL. His rookie year they (I hate you Herm) made him play like a nose tackle with literally no help around him and he has been a 5 technique ever since.

He's playing incredibly well everywhere but the stat line under the sack column. Could care less about that.

...well I mean people are basing it off watching him play and his measurables and such. Just because he hasn't played there doesn't mean it wouldn't be a way better fit and that his current system is holding him back.

Ya, I don't get people complaining about the lack of touches Charles gets. He gets over 14 carries per game, which is a lot, imo. If he got more carries, that doesn't really mean he'd be more effective. I believe Haley and Weis have struck a great balance with Charles, and Thomas Jones should hit 1000 yards this season as well. Charles has been getting a lot more touches because Dexter McCluster has been injured.

I do agree that I'd rather see Charles get more goalline carries. Jones has danced a bit too much, and although he's a tough runner, he's not really a "power" runner. Charles is more likely to find a crease into the end zone than Jones is to power it in.

Dorsey hasn't shown anything in his career that would indicate that he'd be a better 3-tech than 5-tech...

Kinda hard to show that when the defense you play in doesn't utilize 3-technique tackles.

Yeah but there's a difference between more carries and giving him over 400 carries. Ideally I think Charles should look to have 20-25 touches per game, both running and receiving

Holmes wasn't run into the ground, Merriman gave him a spinal injury.

No, he was run into the ground (. Merriman just finished what Dick Vermiel started. He had played in only 15 games in the previous three seasons.
