I read somewhere Tony Dorsett said he could run for 2,000 yards in today's NFL.

I think he meant when he was playing though.

He'd make a comeback, then Patrick Willis would light him up and end his comeback. Besides, a guy with serious psychological issues really shouldn't be subjecting himself to even more head trauma.

I hope this leads to barry sanders coming back too. Then tiki and alstott and a host of other retired rb's can come back. Itd be like the walking dead meets the nfl.

50 year old Dan Marino with both knees heavily braced launches a lightning quick laser beam swing pass to Barry Sanders in the flat....he runs behind Larry Allen and Willie Roaf who have both pulled to open up space...they pancake both Derrick Brooks and John Lynch as Sanders goes in for the score!

Being in good shape doesn't mean you can play in the NFL.

Your physical peak for explosiveness, power, testosterone production and all other sorts of good things is at 25. Every day after that you are less capable then the day before(you can still put on muscle, but you put on more muscle at 25 then at 26 with the same workout.) So Walker's body is way past his prime.

That, and he wasn't even that good in the NFL. He had a very average career. He had one good year then got traded and was sub 1000 yards for the rest of his career. No way he would do anything in the NFL nowadays.

You're ******** if you think 75% of UFC guys have no muscle definition. Herschel Walker fights at heavyweight, so a lot of the guys in that division are the ones that are a little chubbier, but are still conditioned really well. Every other division is stacked of guys that are shredded. HW is the only division that has some guys that look out of shape.

Even then, that's not UFC. That's Strike Force, and I imagine the guy he's fighting isn't even a real legit opponent. I doubt they want to have Heisman Herschel, whom I imagine would be quite the draw for them, get dummied by a guy with legit title aspirations. A look at some other notable heavyweights:

Alistair Overeem Strikeforce Champion

Brock Lesnar former UFC HW champ

Cain Velasquez, UFC Champ

Shane Carwin, former #1 contender

Frank Mir, former champion

Cheick Kongo, not even that legit

These guys are all heavyweights fighting at 230-240 at minimum. Most of them are much bigger than that, and still jacked as hell. The only notable guys who really go against that are Fedor, who is a bit chubby but still insanely athletic, and Roy Nelson who compenates for his obesity with a whole hell of a lot of skill. Sure there are some guys who are flabby, but I think a lot of that is just because it is very hard to find guys who are around 230 pounds or more and can fight well. It's the same reason there are a lot of fat terrible athletes who play DT and a lot of horrible NBA big men. There just aren't enough of them to be too selective about it.

youve never seen UFC have you, its maybe about 5% of fighters that look like that and maybe 3 or 4 of them are any good, UFC has the best athletes in the world.

Actually, it's 35. For NFL players, it's usually different because of the constant high impact collisions every day.

I don't think so....for guys, I've always heard it was early-mid 20s. For women, it's a bit older, but it's definitely younger for guys.

Does anyone not want to see him try, though? Not like he's in the HoF and tarnishing his rep. His rep is being an athletic freak of nature who stretches the boundaries.

This man is in better shape than you will ever be. He wasn't blessed with Herschel Walker's genetics, but that doesn't make him any less of an athlete.
