Clay Matthews was going to receive the award, but he was injured in the process.

Clay's hair isn't insured for $1 million, that right there is the difference.
But seriously, kudos to Troy. Probably the nicest guy on the team (research his relationship between him and Heather Miller), and plays his butt off every game, even if he's got an unorthodox tackling technique and gets injured a lot.

Exactly. Clay has isn't even in the top 2 for hair when it comes to USC Trojans. Both Troy and Rey are ahead of him.

So 2 of the DPOTY candidates in the top 3 are on the same team and one wins it. Interesting?

The first page is absolutely hilarious. After reading the title, I thought our resident Packers fans had created their own alternate reality where Clay won.

If James Harrison won, it would have been epic.

Actually it is now.
I thought Polamalu should be third behind Matthews and Peppers, but they were all close together, no one stood out completely this year.
Urlacher getting 2 votes is the thing I don't understand.

"Although a pretty Suave player, Clay was not Head and Shoulders better than Troy this year. It was more or less a wash. Clay's excellent conditioning was a pretty key ingredient to his success. He had an impressive body and volume of work, too, and will shine for years to come."

Yeah, I read that. It is so strange, a Viking getting arrested... I thought we were gonna turn over a new leaf after the worst calender year ever. Guess not.
