Bennett wanted a deal in the $7m-$8m a year range, it wasn't going to happen.

Because Cruz changed agents, he has to wait 3 days to sign a deal.

Plenty of time for Condon to shop him around and get the best deal on the table.

No surprise Canty walked. Pissed Bennett is gone, really wanted him back. If we lose Cruz now we are going to need to make a big change to our offense. Glad to get Ross back if it's cheap

Canty and Jenkins got the same deal almost so they must like Jenkins better at this point. He's definitely less of a health risk.

DHB released by the Raiders. I believe Reese was very interested in him during that draft. I wonder if we try to bring him in? I think he sucks but if Reese likes something then I'm all for a gamble.

Ironically it was a three year, $8m deal

The difference is that Canty wasn't likely willing to take that kind of pay cut and when he got cut, didn't want to talk to us about a deal.

You would have to think that we would have been happy to have Canty on this kind of deal, but perhaps his health was a factor.

Screw that, our youngons need to step up. That whole Prince A. draft class needs to do something for once. A. Robinson should start from day 1 and let him learn by trial by fire. I hate this musical chairs. Play the kid before he has 1 year left does well, and leaves because we don't want to pay. So benefit now. Play the people we draft.

I would like that as well. I honestly would like it a lot if we treated this season as a developmental season. Infuse the team with young talent, and try to win with the young guys. It probably won't get us a SB, but you never know. Atleast we get to develop guys and get them ready for future SB runs throughout the final years of Eli Mannings career.

Ok, most. Now Prince has to be even better with the decline of Webster. Prince has to play like an elite CB. The rest have to contribute a lot more.

Well during the SB run we got some good contributions on ST from Jones, Sash, and Williams. It could be much worse. I'd like to see Williams really step up this year and I believe he has the most potential to contribute after Prince.

I think we just have to see what happens with our youngsters like Robinson, Pascoe etc, we will likely be fine.

Same for LB and DE we have some young guys with talent. Lets are what they can do.

We have done well plugging needs in free agency, the next major free agency impact will be what happens with Cruz, which we should know in a couple of days.

We're going to sign K Josh Brown. I like him as a replacement for Tynes. He has a little better leg and is just as accurate. Good move from Reese.
