Default Final Fantasy Competition: Part 1 Music
After reading the Readit repost thread I thought it was time for this series of threads. We all love the Final Fantasy Series of video games it has been a huge part of my life I've played every Final Fantasy (US releases) from 1 all the way to 12 including X-2. I fail at life and do not own a PS3 for XIII. But every so often there is epic debate over which final fantasy is in fact the greatest. So I decided to make this competition to break it down and see how many of you guys are fan bois. But without further ado I will post one song from each of the first 12 (except #2 and 3 Japanese) the orchestrated version to prevent 8-bit bias in either way.

Final Fantasy VII is my favorite game of all time, and is a much better overall game then X, but X had absolutely spectacular music/cut scenes. For all the flaws in the levelling system, gameplay, and those stupid ass dungeons, the actual story was magnificent. I had to go with X for music, but I'd find it hard to see VII losing any other one of these threads.

The music I remember the most from my childhood is probably the FF2(US) battle scenes:



I love this music. Every time I hear it I want to go play FF2. Where my ROMs be!

edit: I now have started new characters on FF2! Who wants to be what character! I have dibs on Cecil already, but the rest are up for grabs!

I got all the way to the last boss in FF2 with all my characters maxed level and I sold all my blood swords which was the only way to beat that asshole. I was so pissed.
