Marcus Fortson would be my pick off the top of my head. He's lost 21lbs, has been extremely dedicated this off season and is a highly talented football player. He looks like he should be able to put it all together finally and become one of the best DT's in the country.

Also why is Dennard on that list as a breakout player. He was one of the top 4-5 CB's in college football this past season. I'd say he's already broken out.

Dennard really got overshadowed by Prince. I'm expecting bigger things but I will scratch him off the list

Corey "Philly" Brown, WR Ohio State.

It should be interesting to see if Braxton Miller starts at QB for Ohio State as well with Pryor missing the first five games. Kid will be a playmaker in some way this year.

Alameda Ta'amu really came on big at NT for the Washinton Huskys late in the year, the guys is about 340lbs and surprisingly athletic, could see a B.J. Raji type rise from him.

Not possible, he can't be a breakout player if he isn't from the state of Florida.

DJ Morgan RB at USC is expected to big things this year, ran a 4.34 40 yd dash the other day in workouts and is expected to give us some big plays out of the backfield.

George Farmar best HS WR prospect suppose to come in and contribute right away. Kiffen is giving him the #1 which he just recently retired for Mike Williams, but he feels Farmar is up to the challenge.

Kyle Prater WR. Red shirted last year after being the top HS receiver prospect over the star of last years WR crew Robert Woods. Kyle Prater is a Dwayne Jarrett like WR and will give us a scary redzone target.

I wish Tajh Boyd will have an outstanding career at Clemson, now that Parker is finally gone and since Kiffin sh*tted on him at Tennessee. I like him a lot but I see him being converted when his college career is over due to his massive size, 6'1'' 230 QB won't work well in the NFL with scouts.

Did not want to be too VA biased with my list so I did not add him.

Okay? So if he's smaller than advertised, he's not massive. Ryan Mallett is massive at 6'7", 250 pounds. Being 5'11" and 230 as a QB is not massive.

The Truth.

Forston looks like he could be in for a big year too.

Quinton Coples should blow up big time (kinda did last year but not much recognition. Robert Woods, Keenan Allen and Kenny Stills should all have huge years at WR. Aaron Hester at CB for UCLA. Eric Reid and Reuben Randle for LSU. Probably a better thread for after spring ball.

Etienne Sabino should get some playing time (OSU Guys), Demarcus Milliner, Rex Burkhead, Trent Richardson (I think he might have a Heisman type year).

Chris Owusu - WR - Stanford

Was a dynamic return man (3 KR for TD) and deep threat in 09 for Stanford during Lucks first year starting. He had injuries all of last year and had to compete with some pretty good WRs for catches. He also filled in his frame with more muscle that may have made him a little slower and hurt his explosiveness.

I think that getting healthy, being the top receiver and Luck hopefully developing a better deep ball will really showcase this guy. He has good size and great speed, and will become more of a know name because people will be watching Luck a ton next year.

you could argue that Owusu has broken out & has a high profile in the Pac 12 that he led in return yardage 2 yrs. ago.

It was huge that he & Andrew Luck have worked together for awhile & having Owusu in 2011 may have been a big factor in Luck's decision to stay in school for his jr. yr. They could well be the top passing combo in the Pac 12 & the nation this season if they stay healthy

I agree with this, you think Corey Miller going to get enough PT to be considered a breakout canidate? Our sophmore class is going to be so freaking sick.

Watch out for Danny Obrien ladies and gents. Coming into his sophomore year after throwing for 2438 yards and 22 tds as a freshman in only 10 games. He loses Torrey Smith but MD is never really short of decent WRs. Kevin Dorsey is a big time recruit that should see a lot more playing time with all the senior receivers leaving. Could be an adjustment year with the new coaching but I expect them to lean on Obrien heavily. 2012 might be his real break out year but I'm looking for a big year this year too.

Hunter had a helluva FR. year defenses will key in on him a lot this year because of his Fr. year which he "Broke out" I see him as the next A.J. Green.
