Trade Up for Julio?
I've heard and read some rumors that the Rams may attempt to trade up for Julio. At this point, I think that's really the only way we land Jones or AJ Green. IMO, I think we should go for it. With our schedule this year, we are going to need that firepower!

Personally, I don't like the possibility of trading up. While everyone is saying the Rams have reduced their number of needs...i don't see that. None of their OLBs or safeties are really starting quality. They could use a younger DE and DT. Their OL is missing a guard and there is still no backup running back. There are much too many needs to address in the 2nd round to give up that pick to get a prospect at a position that might not even be the most desperate need.

I totally agree. Stay put and take the best available player. From what I understand, Bowers may be available at that spot. Also Luiget would be a good addition. Some reports are insinuating that the Rams are interested in Ingram. Not a good idea, IMHO. There are good backs available from round three on, such as Rogers, possibly Murray, DC, or Devine, while Miami's Cooper and Berry, could be available after rd five.
If I were the Rams and Jones was not there at 14, I would take one of the talented DEs or Luiget (sp?). In rd two I would address my LB or wr needs. I really like NC's Carter at OLB, given he is recovering well from injury. However, I feel wr has more depth in that round with Hankerson, NC's Little, Pitts Baldwin, or Boise States Titus. I am sure I am missing another half dozen talented players.

Why are you even listening to any rumors around this time, we all know how Bill Devaney works.

I don't see the Rams trading up. Too many other areas they would benefit from filling with those picks. Someone will be there @ 14. If we're lucky, it'll be Jones. If not, it'll be one of the DEs (Quinn, Bowers, Smith, Jordan) or Liuget. Count me among those not excited with Ingram as the pick; we're not in a position to make a luxury pick of that nature.

This draft isn't very deep. If it would cost only a 3rd, I would probably do it. Julio could be a difference maker, and we don't have many of those type of players. Another scenario I like is this:
1) DE Jordan
2) RB LeShoure
3) trade a 5th and move up for WR Gregg Little
That's 3 huge holes filled with top end talent.

If the Titans want a QB and dont want to take one at #8 then you could probably switch places with them.

I don't see the Rams moving up as well. If Jones is not there, which will probably happen. I think the Rams should go with Pouncey. He starts right a way and our O-Line is young and set for a while.
1) Mike Pouncey, OG, Florida
2) Rahim Moore, S, UCLA
3) Greg Little, WR, North Carolina
4) D-Line/RB
5) D-Line/RB
6) CB
7) LB

I find that kind of interesting. He could of accidentally read the question wrong.
