Yeah, the Saints gave us their 2nd (56?) and their 2012 1st.

I agree it puts us in good position to get the guys we may like. It just delays the torture of finding out we still won't get them tomorrow, either.

Thank god though. I was sick of all these blowhards on the radio around here that didn't watch a down of Saturday football all year calling into these shows and being all "WE GOTTAH TAKHE MARHK FOCKIN INGREM. HE WON A HIGHSAMEN FOR NICK FAKHIN SABAN AND WE NEED A RUNNIN BACK".

So sick of it. Mark Ingram would have completely compromised this offense. He's a guy that needs 20+ carries a game to get going and be truly effective and he would NOT have that here. We wouldn't be able to do the things with personal and Woodhead that we like to do...and it would screw Brady up rhythm-wise a bit.

I have no problem with Wilkerson to the Jets. I think he's being overrated because of the position he plays. I've said all along the Pats need an OLB more than a DE so I'm not really upset. There are no OLB's at this point in the draft worth taking. They can get a DE later that's as good as Wilkerson, imo.

I don't mind the value on Ayers at 33, tbh. I didn't like either Ayers or Reed as a 1st round selection. 33 would be fine. Still gives us the chance at a DL and Hankerson @ 56 & 64.

I'm just not an Ayers 3-4 guy. He's an ILB for us in a similar role to Mayo. Maybe we move up one spot here for a seventh or something and take Reed. Gives the Packers more time to find a deal tomorrow.
