Assumed it's been posted in the WC thread. Saw it on a Yahoo! soccer blog earlier. Pretty cool story about Landon Donovan saying it brought him to tears. Figured not everyone ventures into the WC thread and it shows how passionate a lot of Americans are about the spot, but props to J-Mike for beating me to the punch. ;)
Haha! If you're confused, here's a comment I left:
There was a hike. They lined up and the Center had the ball. The QB asked for the ball, and the Center handed it to him (when the hike occurred). That's when the QB started yelling about the ball and started walking over to the coach (the play is in progress as this is all going on). So it's not as if the play starts right when he decides to make a break for it. It's essentially a QB sneak/draw/whatever, and the QB's commotion over the ball problem masked the snap.
At least that's what I believe went down, from what I could see/hear. Pretty neat trick play that'd only work in peewee.
