Blues were just off all series, not great goaltending, not really physical at all, passes were just not very crisp. The last two periods of game 4 was really how I expected the Blues to be playing all series.

No excuses though, Kings wanted it more and it showed. Great team, great goalie. Congratulations to the Kings, I 'm actually a fan of a lot of their players so it doesn't hurt as bad.

never would i have imagined that we would be in the western conf finals. our star players stepped up as well as quickie. i do not think the kings would be here without the richards/carter trades.

We did win 6 or 8 after the deadline, he scored 6 goals (before he missed the last 5 games) for us but what he really did was legitimize the 2nd line and team by having a legit scorer, which we seriously lacked. We had the worst offense for most of the year mostly due to having absolutely nobody who can finish, what you are seeing now are a team who can roll 4 lines with the top 2 being legit.

I'll say it again, the Kings would not be near the western conf finals without Richards/Carter, even with Quick having a Vezina like year.

edit: Also, before the Carter trade, we had players like Stoll, Richardson, Clifford, King, Nolan, Loktionov playing in some combination with Kopi, Richards, Brown and Williams..which was ugly!
