OK, that'll be the last insult from you. Take that as an official warning.
I think it's logical for Dwight to opt out if the Magic fail to make moves to improve the team, but I feel like through the moves made in this mock that Dwight would be satisfied enough. I don't know if you even considered that when you decided to make him opt out.
...and Jameer's contract is unguaranteed. See Shamsports.

D, Brody's going more based off reality. Dwight hasn't been shy about saying he'd like to explore free agency. I'm ok with Deron opting out because it's no shock, and I'm fairly confident, based on reports and his quotes towards the team, he'll stay a Net

I'm fixing the minimum thing then I'm done with dealing with Free Agency crap. I tried but apparently D-Unit just likes to bludgeon things into the ground.

Actually, I made a mistake on the Jameer thing. His is a player option. Redick's was unguaranteed. Got them mixed up.
edit: and Dwight is a FA. Let's see how interesting this gets.

Was that so hard? I honestly don't know if Jameer would exercise his player option or not, sort of iffy on that...

I already said before that I plan on offering him the most money using Bird rights.
I don't know why you think I'm manipulating the game. I haven't approved my own trades, I haven't hiddenly decided my FA signings (the new way avoided conspiracy behind that)... I start these things up, volunteer my time, am constantly harassed and you want to pin on me that I'm some corrupt gamer? You couldn't even handle FA without quitting.

When did I ever say anything about you fixing the game for yourself? I was tired of your bitching.

I don't think you can say that. None of this was mentioned during FA when players were getting these contracts.
...and there are multi-year veteran minimum contracts that do exist in the NBA.

So JR Smith, Cartier Martin, Francisco Elson, and Dan Gadzuric are free agents then?

Yeah, just let me know. Won't complain about it. Just want reason and explanation why this wasn't brought up earlier.

MINIMUM PLAYER SALARY EXCEPTION -- Teams can offer players minimum salary contracts even if they are over the cap. Contracts can be up to two years in length. For two year contracts, the second season salary is the minimum salary for that season.

ok i mean i just assumed all of you who were signing guys to "veterans minimum" were signing to 1 year deals as you'd note if you were offering more than one, but I'll give you all liberty to exercise best judgment I suppose. I just feel like a lot of guys got signed to the minimum simply because we could however if we are being any sort of realistic not sure why some of these guys would sign a two year minimum.

Outside of JR Smith (how did he get a minimum contract?!), those players suck anyways so I don't give a ****.
And Ghetto, those guys were the ones that got specifically offered two year minimum offers, so the rest are free agents. Well, Elson's deal was botched but I'll let it slide because Elson sucks.

Everyone should've known about the rule if they read the instructions about it that were there from the start. If you didn't read it, it's your own bad. Not like he was one of the first FAs signed.

You guys are too much. Make JR Smith an UFA. I signed him fair and square, but don't make like I manipulated the rules just to get him. That's just a flat out lie.

BTW, what do you guys think of letting teams who didn't use their Amnesty yet? Should they be allowed to do it now? I got called a fascist because I told a poster no. But if you want it, let it be.

My stance is just that if someone didn't specify a 2 year deal than it should be assumed a one year deal much like if someone said I sign Richard Hamilton to an 8 mil deal. One can only infer from that, it was a one year deal.
