Rumors are the Bears are looking to sign Durant, the former Jaguars linebacker. I think he is a nice fit for Chicago's defense.

it wouldnt surprise me if a lot of guys wanted to go to the bucs.
1) they have money to throw around, but were competitive without those extra star guys
2) they have a very young team that will get even better
3) i feel like players will really like raheem morris, he seems like a guy that players will love playing for, sort of like rex.

I think he's a good fit, too. Jags and Bears have sort of exchanged LBs recently with Rod Wilson and Brian Iwuh. I would like the Jags to get Nick Roach if he becomes available.
Other Jags news: Reportedly very interested in Dawan Landry.

The Patriots were reported to have about $7.5 million to spend today by Mike Reiss.
He also mentioned that the figure includes Mankins' $10 million franchise tag, and that it does not include roughly $2 million owed to BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RFA) and $5.8 million for the rookie cap pool.
So after signing BJGE and the rookies, they should be about $300,000 over before factoring in cuts today.
These are estimates, but the Patriots should be able to save $480,000 by cutting CB Tony Carter and $2.3 million by cutting Tully Banta-Cain, which will both happen at some point in the near future and gives them about $2.5 million of wiggle room.
They could further clear up some more money by cutting other players:
RB Thomas Clayton ($0.48/$0.49)
TE Alge Crumpler ($2.4/$3.01)
OT Nick Kaczur ($3.4/$4.38)
LB Marques Murrell ($0.55/$0.56)
CB Jonathan Wilhite ($1.2/$1.31)
All of those players being cut would save another $8 million. I expect the Patriots to go after a mid-level pass rusher such as Matt Roth or (less likely) Mathias Kiwanuka, as well as to try and sign Matt Light to a new contract.

Pats cut Banta-cain
Quote:
The New England Patriots have informed linebacker Tully Banta-Cain they will cut him on Thursday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
One of the Patriots' top pass-rushers, Banta-Cain compiled 15 sacks over the last two seasons in New England.

I wish we could get some clarification on Colombo. Lots of crossed info. But we've cut Davis, Barber, and Kris Brown for sure. That's probably going to be it as far as cuts go.

No big news really from the Raiders, which is expected. We are likely to make cap room with cuts/restructures before we make any signings. I could see us locking up Miller though even if we are overthe cap to ensure we keep him. Without him our offense will be nothing.

Bears should cut Chester Taylor and pick up Marion Barber. That's a nice fit, if you ask me.
