i think that ultimately its Giants vs Steelers, and the only reason we arent going all out for him is bc we still need to resign Bradshaw and Boss (we signed all our rookies Steve Smith and Kiwi)

I guess Plex is with Colbert right now discussing numbers and all that. Even if he doesn't sign today, it's said to be a Jets vs Steelers battle.

Don't see this in here Cardinals signed CB Richard Marshall to a 1 year deal
and they and Todd Heap have a mutual interest probably just working out the numbers

Sounds more and more as if Plex is not leaving Latrobe untill camp breaks to back to Pittsburgh.

If the Giants miss out on Plax, I really really really want us to go after Randy Moss.
Hell, if I was GM, I'd ditch Plax alltogether to go after Moss. We need a 3rd WR threat to match against Philly's 3 CBs.
If we get Moss, that neutralizes the addition of Nmandi. Fight fire with fire Reese. It's the right move, grow some balls and make it.

Ok this....was true maybe years ago. But Moss at this stage of his career wouldn't crack a reasonable "top WR rankings" list while Nnamdi would rarely fall lower than 2nd or 3rd on a top CBs list.

Moss will make a comeback.
The Jets should go after Moss instead of Plax.

I like the Dolphins signing of Kevin Burnett. Not quite as strong vs. the run as Crowder, but has a more well-rounded game. Matt Moore was a quality low-risk signing for them as well.

I'm just not sure on Randy. He's got the talent to play as long as he wants to. I don't buy that father time has slowed him down as much as some people say, not from what I saw last year. But he's like a race horse really. If one thing goes wrong with him injury wise, it's hard to get all the parts moving at full speed. Then he's got his emotional issues on top of it.
I could see him come to a team with a good quarterback and light it up again, 1000+ yards and 10 TD's isn't out of the question. I could also see him being cut in training camp/being a non-factor throughout the year. One thing I think that was made clear last year is that he isn't a piece player. He's not a role player on a receiving core. If he's not the feature option in a passing attack, he just can't bring it every Sunday. I love the guy, personally. I think he gets WAY more flack than he deserves as some kind of locker room cancer from the mess in Oakland. We never saw any of that here. Damaged goods at this point though.

Nobody in the history of the NFL has ever had that kind of talent, because it's inhuman. Everyone gets old, everyone falls apart. Everyone.

The one guy I really wanted signs with Arizona. And there aren't really any free agent corners left. No one notable anyways. Unless we bring back Clements.

I'd say that Cro would be pretty notable if nothing else.

I want Moss on the Cowboys just to give the finger to the Eagles. Dez and Moss on the outside with Miles in the slot and Witten underneath = Sexpanther.
Tell that cornerback trio to try and cover that.

Burress had two meals with Steelers officials, including players who tried to woo him to return, and it appears based on Bouchette’s report that Plaxico told someone during the visit that he’s not going back to the Giants.
|
Sorry Ballin and any other Giants fans who wanted him.

Oh yeah he's out there, but ehhh I'd rather take my chances with Clements. Cromartie just strikes me as a moron. And I never thought he was that great anyways, always getting toasted in San Diego. Carlos Rogers is out there too, but whatever. Marshall was the only guy I really wanted and now he's gone. So I really don't care. Might as well start with Spencer and Brown.

Seems like Zach Miller will resign with Oakland once they are able restructure Wimbleys contract. John Clayton did report Miami could have interest in him

Cro has great size and great speed, but his issue I think is the smaller, shiftier receivers.
And with Rogers you'd be getting the worst set of hands ever seen.

At this point it seems as if San Fran is the best landing spot for a Dre Kirkpatrick or Gilmore next year..I know not what Niners fans want to hear right now but one of them will probably end up better than some of these FAs anyway
