What happened with Maybin is still a joke. He played at PSU under 225, as low as 219 I've heard. People see the tape and watch his burst and speed at that weight without realizing that he's smaller than most linebackers and some safeties. Then, he bulked way up to 240+ and.....lost all ability to move other than in a straight line.
I honestly think Maybin is more worthless than Gholston, mainly because the signs were there that Maybin was going to have problems. Moreso than any signs Gholston showed I think.

Good observation - this is an example of why projecting players to change dramatically upon reaching the NFL is dangerous. Too often people dismiss complaints against a player, saying things like "I'm sure he can add 15 pounds" or "well, we can just teach him to carry the ball the right way" or "we just need to fix his mechanics and throwing motion." But how often do players actually successfully make dramatic changes?

Football Outsiders is reporting that the Colts have signed DE Jamaal Anderson. Not exactly sure about the fit on that one...

Imagine how far and drastic some of those lines went in draft rooms across the NFL.
"If we can just get this kid to breathe or blink without having to think about it, everything else will just fall into place." - Ryan Leaf
"Maybe we can graft adamantium onto his body, that should make him an every down player." - Charles Rogers
"Well if we make crime more illegaler he might cut it out." - Pacman Jones
"Remember that movie Goonies? We could just lock him up in a basement and feed him scraps like Sloth. That should stop his weight problems." - JaMarcus Russell

Looks like Zach Miller will be going to the Seahawks
According to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson, "all indications are that the Seahawks plan on signing" TE Zach Miller during his Monday visit.

Andrew Luck/Landry Jones/Matt Barkley are going to have a hell of supporting cast next year. :D

I don't understand why people think Seattle has a shot at the #1 pick. You have 6 games against St. Louis, Arizona, and SF. And as you just said you have some talent.

Defense is awful, TJack or CJ will be QBing, and the rest of the schedule is brutal.
And STL and ARZ are better this year.

Seattle isn't getting Luck, but Barkley is going to be re-united with Carroll.
