Ernie Sims is the worst linebacker I've ever had the displeasure of watching in my lifetime as an Eagles fan. He misses tackles, overruns plays, gets completely washed out of plays by any OL or TE, and can't cover a paper bag.

The reason he was drafted in the first round is because he has 4.4 speed. The problem is that he also has a 4.4 type of body (5'11" 220lbs at best) and he has a 4.4 football IQ. Zero linebacker instincts.

He is flat-out turrrrible. Sorry, dude. If your coaches can extract anything from him, then they are miracle workers.

Also played for both Parcells and Mangini so learning curve shouldn't be too steep. Previously was a 4-3 DE so presumably would line up at end in the sub package. Really hoping they get something done.

Jets LB David Harris signed a 4-year, $36 million deal that includes $29.5 million guaranteed.

I'll be so mad if we don't sign Roth. It makes all the sense in the world and makes us a lot better right now, not down the road or in the future potentially. Not that Roth is anything special, but what he brings to the table is just the sort of thing we need. NEED. Not would be nice to have, we need a player like him to contend for a championship.

Some team/fan will be saying this about Zach Brown in about 5 years.

As far as Seattle, if they can get a franchise QB they will be set on offense. They did a great job solidifying their O-Line by adding a good LG and drafting a great RT prospect and a really good OG in the mid rounds. Sidney Rice paired with Mike Williams and the hope that Golden Tate develops and now Zach Miller in the fold gives them a great young receiving corps. Next year's draft should be all about defense and finding a franchise passer.
Your opinion of that offensive line is extremely optimistic. First of all there is almost zero experience there and you have two guys in Carpenter and Moffitt who were drafted at least a round too early. Funny how Robert Gallery now is considered a good OG. Hopefully you're right in your observations.

They are quietly stacking their team right alongside the Eagles. Don't forget Cam Jordan.

And that secondary on paper looks dynamite minus Roman Harper on passing downs... Patrick Robinson and Johnny Patrick are good nickel and dime corners.

Robert Gallery IS a good OG. He didn't work out at LT but he can run-block at a high level.

Carpenter and Moffitt were drafted a round too early based on internet rankings. Carp was in play in the first, teams admitted after the draft.

I'm loving what Loomis is doing right now. Saints have quietly flown under the radar this offseason. Signing Shaun Rogers before the lockout then post-lockout bringing in Darren Sproles and Abrayo Franklin to pair with Cam Jordan, Will Smith, and Sedrick Ellis.

Jonathan Vilma should be even more effective this year with that DT rotation in front of him.

Hopefully Casillas stays healthy, his speed is going to be devastating since he won't see many blocks at all.

Our D-line is stacked.

I just saw on a few forums at footballsfuture.com that the eagles and 49ers rumor trade discussions involving Assante Samual, draft picks for Patrick Willis?

It has been discussed but I cannot believe them without seeing an exact link or source seeing that. Anyone else here that bogus story?

Lmao I would seriously lol at this. 49er fans would be pissed, and the dream team would only get better from the trade. Eagles probably would have to give up 2 1st round picks though

Hate the "he's been injured in the past so he's going to get hurt again" argument.

Bottom line is he's healthy now and when healthy, a good LG. Everyone in the entire league is an injury risk so using that to knock a player is pessimistic at best and negatively biased at worst.

Gallery played 16 games in 2007 and 16 in 2008. You are sure he can never do that again because the last two seasons he missed time... ...along with over half of the players in the league.

You hate it cuz he's a seahawk now. But ok...if he was hurt most of the time the previous years...I would bet he's gonna get hurt again. You usually don't get hurt like 3 years in a row and then all the sudden become non-injury prone. I give him 5 games before he goes down.
