I realize you're just engaging in some homeristic rival bashing, but that's weak even for that.

If you really wanted to get under my skin, you would have posted a picture of Caleb Hanie and Mike Martz.

Anyway, if the Dolphins trade something Flynn, you'll just be adding him to the "list of guys we wasted picks on instead of going after a real QB."

AJ Feely
Daunte Culpepper
John Beck
Pat White
Chad Henne
Soon to be Matt Flynn.
And if RGIII turns out to be a fracnhise QB he goes on to Miami's could have should have" list which includes

Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Matt Ryan

You know someday those Dolphins will get that franchise QB...too bad we'll all be dead when then happens.

Well they need to stop dicking around second-tier players. Man the **** up and trade what it takes to get to #2 and take Griffin.

If he busts, well so be it. That's the risk you take. But at least you took a shot a guy with Elite potential rather than constantly just sinking 2nd round picks into players who might be ok.

+a million. A QB does well on a team that has solid cast around him (Cassell and Kolb), and the teams get as much as possible and the other team just screws their rebuilding package even more.

If your going to give a 2nd, why not just package the 2nd with your 1st (and more) and get RG3? I find the stats the backup QBs with solid teams useless, because its usually not a good judgment on the player themselve.

And those games were against the Patriots and Lions and both turned into shootouts. It's not exactly like carving up the 85 Bears

The Packers have pretty much gauranteed themselves compensation for Flynn but if some teams prefer the QBs in the draft it may be a lot less than what the Packers hope for.

Clearly they wont want to pay Flynn more this year than Aaron Rodgers. If the market isn't there the Packers may just unload him on draft day for the best offer, maybe a mid-low 2

And if its still a 2 then they will be the winners of the trade. Its why good teams stay good and mediocre teams stay there. A player who plays good on a Championship caliber team goes to a not so good place and doesnt play as good. Happens more often then not.

Free agency will kick off at 4pm instead of midnight. ******* sweet. No need to stay up to see the moves that happen mysteriously quickly considering the teams and players in no way, shape or form were talking to eachother during the prohibited time and then strike lengthy, multi-million dollar deals in the first 5 minutes.

No way because that would be against the rules, and all teams follow the rules!

And now they can follow the rules even harderer in the afternoon!

Is it me or are the Drew Brees and Ray Rice contract negotiations the most quiet you've ever seen? I wouldn't even know those 2 were FA's if I didn't pay attention to this stuff. I know it's a foregone conclusion they'll both re-sign with their current teams but it's still weird the media hasn't made a bigger deal about it.

I suppose but Brees is still a major superstar and a top 3 QB. You'd think they'd have Werder camped in NO giving us daily updates on this stuff.

With Tebow and Lin, espn has enough fap material to last them through the off-season.

Its weird that espn made Year of the Qb, I thought they would do a series and next would be another position, like Rb or WR. But nope it just dropped of the face of the earth.

It is kinda weird how there is literally no news about those 2. They are both guaranteed to get franchised if they don't get a deal done right away. Both guys completely want to resign with their teams and the Saints and Ravens are quality organizations who will get them taken care of. They probably just really prefer to get things done behind closed doors.

Ive been telling you all along. I believe the Brees contract is quiet because they are working it out to where it will be worded in a way we can get back both Nicks and Colston.

Why is FA so far away? It usually starts on the last friday of February, which would be tomorrow. I guess there were some changes in with the new CBA.

A local radio host (Bob Fescoe, of 610, who has almost no credibility anymore) has said he is hearing talks of Peyton to the Chiefs heating up. According to him, the Chiefs have contacted Condon about possibly coming here, and that the "financials" fit.

We likely have enough cap space for both, so.. haha.

I doubt we trade for Manning. That doesn't make sense. It makes more sense that the Colts release him and we sign him.

Yeah I was just trying to figure out why Manning would come if you had also just lost your best WR. If he released then KC does make a lot of sense. Easily winnable division and you have talent on both sides of the ball that would instantly make you a contender with a real QB.

Yeah, it makes no sense to release the best WR option we have if we're attempting to sign Manning. Bowe would likely be included here.

I AM torn about this, though. I love Manning as he has been one of my favorite players since I started seriously following the NFL, but this is the same thing the Chiefs ALWAYS DO. Don't really develop our own guy, we go out and pick up QBs that can win us games.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd do it since it means we could potentially get to a Super Bowl before I die, but it doesn't help the FUTURE of the club, just the present. A big part of me is ok with helping the present because right now our division is so gd winnable..

Like I said I'm torn.

It is tampering but it isn't. It's a thin line.
