For two year's we've ranted and raged about the poor play in the middle of the o-line, and the front office has finally responded by signing two of the most prolific and well-respected veteran linemen in the league.
|
Scott Wells... Prolific?
I mean damn, he's pretty good and the Packers will certainly miss him, but prolific? Really?

At least your team is adding people...All the Ravens have done this offseason is resign Cam Cameron and lose starters. Hooray!

Well, that should make people on the Packer boards belligerently ***** about the Finley extension.
And Wells is not "prolific," but he is in maybe the top ten at his position. It wasn't long ago that GB was hoping Jason Spitz would beat him out.

Titans O-line suddenly looks really good.

I'm a Packers fan, bro. Re-signing a coach would be an eventful off-season for us.

At least the offensive coordinator you got to keep isn't a useless **** with less offensive creativity then Marty Schottenheimer.

You at least have two first round picks. I expect the Bengals to squander them in a foolish fashion, but there is a chance they won't. A slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

Once every generation you will sign a Reggie White or a Charles Woodson. There's that.

What part of 40 yard go routes to Anquan Boldin isn't creative? It is certainly outside the box thinking.

Prolific probably wasn't the word he wanted to use, I think he meant one of the the top 2 centers available in this years class.
I'd be more than happy with letting Leroy Harris and maybe a rookie middle round pick battle for the other guard position

I thought you were a Titans fan excited about the possibility of signing Wells. That's my mistake. But the Packers at least retain their own stars like Finley. We let ours ship off for greener pastures so our cement-footed QB can flounder in the pocket even more while our helmet-wearing OC can call 7 routes for our young, explosive...No wait, that's Anquan Boldin, not Torrey Smith.

Mike. Brown.
We are sitting on ~50 million dollars in cap. We will likely blow those picks because instead of trying to utilize that money and plug one or two holes and fill the rest with the draft we will use the draft only because "It's the Steelers and Patriots way"
Well Mike Brown you useless twat, they succeed like that because they have a ******* scouting department. They constantly find TALENT unlike you. So yes BB until that waste of human life finally DIES and goes away forever, we will likely squander what could have been the start of something awesome.

I think with the new rookie wage scale teams aren't willing to spend big on an unproven guy.
The fact is, Flynn's pretty much a prospect just like Tannehill, and you don't have to pay Tannehill huge money to get him...
I suspect he's seeing offers far from franchise QB money. Maybe 4 years $30 million-ish with $12ish guaranteed...

When I picture "low ball," in this case, I'm picturing like "2 years, $10 million" like good-backup QB-type money.
Teams may have finally wised up after the Kolb nonsense, but desperate people do desperate things.

I'd be pretty happy to sign Flynn to that deal...

Or, you know, Flynn is not as highly thought of as ESPN would lead you to believe.

You mean he's not a fantastic consolation prize to Peyton Manning!? But...if ESPN is wrong in this...
Is Peyton Manning even a free agent?

You know, I'm not sure. I think my cable company switched up the channel numbers though, because last I saw, the channel that used to be ESPN was talking about airplane traffic and how to properly stock an overnight bag.

Flynn is STILL better than Kolb and yeah, thats not saying much but seriously, who would you rather have if you had to choose between them two? I would choose Flynn 10/10.
Whether or not the Cardinals get Manning, I would still release Kolb today. He sucks, isnt worth the money and is injury prone especially with concussions. Surprising that the Cardinals havent released Kolb, Porter, Bradley, Heap and Stuckey yet. You would think that they would have done so already and go harder after Manning. I feel sorry for Fitzgerald. Oh well.
