Tom Cable isn't a magical Jesus man, so it's not happening.

Omiyele is pretty god damn awful. He's can't get a push in the run game for the life of him. His least terrible position was probably when he was at LT, but he still wasn't very good.

Sadly, he's a tiny bit better than Jamarcus Webb.
Obviously, that's not saying much...other than that he is truly horrible.

Right now it's not a horsecollar tackle if it's against a QB who is in the pocket. If the proposed change passes, it'll remove that exemption.
So that was a legal sack, according to the rules in place at the time.
As I mentioned a couple of pages ago, the problem with horsecollar tackles against fast-moving players is that they cause a sudden change in momentum in the upper spinal cord, so it's a lot like being clotheslined (only from the back, so you can't see it coming). With QBs in the pocket, this isn't an issue and so it's not illegal. The proposed rule change would take away the "Quarterback in the pocket" exemption.

We're talking about the guy PFF had as the worst full-time right tackle in the league for 2010 and the worst full-time left tackle in the league (65th-highest grade for a tackle! woohoo!) for 2011. There's a good reason I hate him and no, I will not get over it until he stops being worse than most practice squad linemen.
Mike Tice having a hard-on for giant men does not make them good football players.

Webb at least takes a little longer to get around because he's bigger.

This. He truly is terrible. Probably the worst starter we've ever had.

Horse collars are not illegal inside the pocket.
So there.

49ers inquired about Mike Wallace, but a league source said that Wallace, 25, wants a contract that surpasses the eight-year, $120 million deal that Larry Fitzgerald signed last year with the Cardinals.

Wallace, Moss, Crabtree, and Manningham would be a nice group, but i doubt we can afford him.
