If that deal were somehow true I'd probably break something. If Wallace got over 100 million this league would become blasphemy as far as contracts go. If he gets that money ever WR in the league who is worth a damn is going to want Calvin Johnson money. I wish these teams would think about their actions and the repercussions before they do something as stupid as giving Mike Wallace 105 million dollars.

Ok, let's look at this logically. He's not actually going to get a deal like that. That was probably the trumped up figure he and his agent would pitch to a team, then the team would low ball them, and in the end, they'd agree to something reasonable in the middle.

Anything above 60 million would be a joke and raise the prices ever WR in the league.

Calvin Johnson already got more than double that in overall money, plus $60 million just in guaranteed money.
Consider the prices long since raised for ever.

Calvin's the best receiver in the NFL, so it's not a fair comparison.

Players and their agents couldn't give less of a ****. Whenever an elite player of any position comes up in contract negotiations, they're going to point to that as a starting point. Especially QBs.

I love how a newspaper that doesn't even exist, is misspelled, and doesn't contain an author, or any clickable links, became mistaken for an actual source.

Then the team can ask if Wallace can stop randomly disappearing and beat double and triple coverage every week.

No, obviously Wallace would never, ever get that. But he'll ask for it. And what he eventually does get with a team will be a bit higher because of it.
And QBs...Rodgers next deal is going to be worth more than what Calvin got.

49ers offseason champions. I would be stoked if I was a 9er fan right now.

It's an annual April Fool's gag by the 49ersWebzone staff and they have not only fooled visitors to the site but beat writers and and other journalists have bought into their April 1st gag in the past as well.

The Rams signed Jo-Lonn Dunbar, LB from the Saints and Robert Turner, OG from the Jets.

Leshoure was arraigned on a marijuana charge. I have to think the Lions will be looking at RB fairly early. Best and Smith are both health questions and now Leshoure is a legal question. That offense needs some balance.

Which is awesome and a fun way to see which news outlets are lazy.

Torn achilles and two arrests. Great way to start a career. Too much free time and money because of his injury.
The secondary lost us games last year not the running game. If we spend another 1st or 2nd round pick on a RB I'll be pissed.

Konz would look good in a Patriots uniform anyway. He's built to be a Patriot. I guess this solidifies that draft pick now.
It just feels like a Bellichick type draft pick.

A "Belichick type draft pick" is one he trades for two future draft picks.

How is his run blocking? does he get pushed back by 2nd string DT's so far back that he tackles the RB getting the handoff?

That's pick 27. Pick 31 will be Konz.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhoooh hh!
That explains everything guys! He's not the worst QB ever, he was just playing with a TOE injury! Of course. All is forgiven. He may still justify that draft pick yet!
