With Dwight officially out in Indy, I have a fear of Dallas knocking down his door and trying to pair him with Ware. If that's the case, lord look out for Eli.

From what Fish said at his Presser, nothing substantial really; it is just that he wasn't a "good fit."
On other words in the 4 days the Rams spent with this kid his true personality sloshed out and they could see for themselves what a loser he truly is.
WHAT SAY YE?

I could see that if he is healthy, but I really hope he is cautious and takes his time to get back. He has had numerous serious head injuries and he might need to consider walking away. Concussions are no joke.

Apparently he missed a meeting.
Plus I mean the Rams did just hire the Lions DB coach. He probably told Fisher Titus is garbage and needs to throw himself away.

Yeah Peyton loves Austin Collie. And he truly is a solid slot guy. Just took some unfortunate hits. :/ Gonna miss him in Colts blue.

You guys really think Collie plays again?
And aren't both those guys free agents anyway? I don't understand how they "released" them.

I think if Collie wants to play then he will find a team who will play him.
Also the haven't released them. They have just told them they won't resign them.

I kinda hope Collie retires before he really hurts himself. His head can't take much more of this.

Collie's head is done.
Sad..... wish helmets were better so this guy's talents could have lasted in the NFL.
Good call on Freeney in Dallas. That's a helluva match with Ware.
Not sure on the $ Cap situation with the Boys though.
Also, Woodson>Ed Reed? http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-networ...videos_woodson

Wait, why do people think Freeney in Dallas is a good idea? Indy transitioned to the 3-4 last year and Freeney kind of sucked in it.

Dallas will be running a Tampa 2 run by Monte Kiffin and Rod Marinelli.

Ah. So DeMarcus is going to be playing as a 4-3 end now?

It's becoming pretty obvious that Titus Young is just a huge waste of talent. He could get paid millions of dollars to play a game; but for whatever reason, he instead acts like an asshole.

I think the official statement is notifying them that they won't be pursued in FA. So they know now for sure now that they can start looking for a new team.

Correct. I was a lot more pissed initially then I am now, but mostly for Carr and Claiborne. I don't want them playing off zone coverage all game after we went out to get press man coverage guys, but I hear Kiffin isn't going to force them into that and realizes they should be in man quite a bit. Ware in the Simeon Rice role, Sean Lee in the Urlacher role, and Bruce Carter in the Derrick Brooks role all make me excited though.
So a LE is needed, but I don't see the Freeney fit like most do. He's an exclusive RE, speed rusher who gets after the QB, we need a guy like Spencer who can set the edge and defend the run. You can't put Freeney at LE for the first time ever and tell him to defend the run. Still, without at least 1 ball hawking safety we will still suck on defense, but obviously having an above average Safety isn't anything we are interested in.

I hope you guys do, and while he went downhill here I'm still really happy to see him turn it around and he's put himself in the argument to be a top 10 TE in the league, his blocking will probably always be overrated unless he's on your team and you notice him and his receiving ability is still up to par with some of the better ones in the league. I'd take him over Jermichael Finley any day as an overall TE and I used to be pissed we drafted him over Finley.
Just lock him up and get it over with. He showed he has grown as a player, he avoided the idiotic crap on youtube and useless rap videos, and for an offense that is as complex as yours is he did very well. His numbers would have looked much better as a whole if he never injured his knee.

Kiffin always favoured bigger left ends when he was in Tampa, so don't be surprised if you plug in a guy who might only be a 5-7 sack guy. Back in the day it was the likes of Greg Spires, guys who are good against the run and can slide inside if needed.

Woodson.... I can only see him playing for 3 teams. Pats ( most likely ) Ravens (If Reed goes to the Pats ) and 49ers ( If Goldson moves on in FA )

Nobody should be surprised by Youngs' behavior he was one more strike away from getting kicked out of Boise State. His only chance was to go to a team with a great disciplinarian as a coach and that is not Detroit.

Cliff Avril thinks it would be neat if he got Mario Williams money.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...t-mario-money/
I'm not sure if the gap between the two is huge, but I'm pretty sure he's not getting a Mario Williams contract.
